Good Morning Monday

Postby JanB » 06 Jan 2020, 08:02

Morning everyone

Lovely sunrise this morning, the sun is red  so hopefully, it will warm up later. Rather chilly at 3.5C at the back

Will attempt some cleaning this morning, have a load of washing to get through too. BBQ later 8-) We'll sit on the front terrace. Not the best of views, but will be in the sun

Have a good day everyone, whatever you're doing xx

Good morning.

Gorgeous. 8-)

I was typing the GM thread earlier when Don asked me to stop what I was doing and come into the kitchen.

Intrigued, I did as he asked.

And there, on the kitchen table.......a print off of tickets to go and see guns n roses in May!! In Seville!!

Speechless doesn't even cover it! I am over the moon!!

All thoughts of continuing the thread went right out the window!

Hello all and so sorry for not posting all that much the past few days. Hope you all had a wonderful new year etc etc etc :D

Ally, that's a fantastic surprise - wow!
Jan, I love the view from your back terrace, so peacful - but needs must where the sun in concerned.
Jen and Saundra hope you got your shopping done and have a lovely afternoon

Well here we are, back at work and back to normal. I was at work between Christmas and New Year but it's fairly quiet then with not many people in. Most people are back as of today so it's all go. I enjoyed the time at home but it's nice to be back to normal again (although I could do without the 5.30 alarm ;-) )

Waiting to hear from a friend who is having a few medical issues. Her GP sent her to A&E for some scans and blood test but I've not heard anything from her. I may need to go to her house to feed her dogs and let them out. Something I don't mind doing usually but these aren't two very easy dogs - they have food aggression and need to be fed and let out separately; and they're two big Alsation crosses. Oh well, hopefully the scans are done and she is back home this evening. Not sure what will happen if they do keep her in - if I have to go and feed them in the morning as well then it'll mean a 4.30 alarm as I'll need an hour to sort them out... sigh Oh well and ho humm, I'll deal with whatever happens.

Have a lovely rest of the day everyone x

Evening all. We’ve been out today, Edward was interested in looking for a new coat - we had originally planned to go into town but it was raining when we got up (although it stopped later) and we decided to go in the car to a shopping centre instead. He did indeed get a very nice coat and picked out a scarf to match it, also a smart grey sweater. I was encouraged to buy another dress :cute: and my bargain of the day was a nightdress in M&S - my sister bought me one for Christmas and I really liked it so was looking for another the same. I went rooting along a sale rail, eventually finding one, just one, my size and reduced to €7!

When we got home I went to the library and also dropped something into Miss Osc in her office, so we had a little chat. Edward was experimenting with a one-pot pasta and meatballs dish in the new Instant Pot, which turned out extremely well and was very tasty.

Must have a look out for that one pot thingy, sure I could find it in the Algarve, somewhere.

Hope your friend had the bits and bobs done and is now back home Ria x

Bbq was lovely, been a long time, so we'll have another one this week-end. Early, as it does get chilly once the sun goes down.

We're in for a few chilly nights, so the stew will be welcome. We had planned on going out for dinner sometime this week, but that can wait 8-)

Evening all :)

Busy day, went to town for the monthly meet-up with the helpers from our old WW group. Then Em and I went shopping, then got back here to sort and dry the washing I'd put in before l went out, cooked dinner, and I've just got back from Zumba! It was hard work after the long break :?

Ally, that's a brilliant surprise :Hi:

Rua, I hope your friend is ok xxx

*Waves to everyone*
