Good Morning Sunday

Postby JanB » 12 Jan 2020, 08:47

Morning everyone

Sunny, but by heck, it's frosty this morning :o and for another couple of nights/mornings too  But as the sun is out, it will soon melt and we'll have another warm ish day 8-)

Today I will be cleaning the winter room :Hi: Mop the floor and clean the kitchen table and chairs, as they've been stored away and have a lot of cobwebs and dirt. I'm already planning on getting a couple of really different light shades, for the wall lights (much better than a spotlight  ) and some wall art.

Would like to get on the garden, but have been banned for a couple more days :cute:

Have a good day everyone, whatever you're doing xx

Morning all, it’s a nice bright day here. We got up late and have been mooching around. Now Michael has arrived to play darts with Edward and I will head for the shower shortly. Going dancing this afternoon and then home to watch Dancing with the Stars Ireland.

Afternoon all. Just been to Sainsbos for a few bits.
Crommers jnr and his gf have just told us they aren't coming after all for Sunday dinner. That's him out of the will1
I intend having a very quiet day from here on in. Just watch a bit of tv and have a relaxing gin tonight. :)
Have a good day all.

I succummed

It's gorgeous out there, so I told Grumpy >I would just have a wander around the garden and pick up the weeds we want to get rid of on the "lawn". it's mostly weeds anyway   but some of t hem, whilst very pretty, grow really high and wide (more wild flower) and they irritate my skin, so I've spent the last couple of hours quite happily 8-)

Grumpy is making a wooden thing, to go over the windows, to keep the wind and rain out, on the back terrace.

Afternoon everyone :)

Having a nice quiet day here. Up earlyish to give B a lift to work, then had a cuppa out, reading the papers. Not done much since we got home, just watching a Montalbano episode on the iPlayer 8-) Cold turkey, chips and salad for dinner later :) I bought a turkey roasting joint on Thursday, cooked it up and what's left needs using up today. Dancing On Ice and Call The Midwife later :geek: :D

We had a lie in and a run down to Crimdon beach this morning, started cloudy but the sun was out when we got there, felt quite warm as the wind had dropped, and the sea was a beautiful blue Was a little un-nerved by the coastal erosion but the walk on the beach was lovely, not sure I can say the same for the 100+ steps back up to the cliff tops!

Coffee, bacon sarnie and a scone back at the Marina at Hartlepool (Crimdon sadly does not have a café of any sort, so another ten minute car journey) but we called in to see a guy Tom knows who has a static caravan there, Oh My Life I didn't know such beauties existed, and his view is the stunning sea!! Said he's had it for four years and it cost in excess of £100k! But just amazing.

Home now but it felt cold when we walked in. Brrrr!!

Enjoy the rest of Sunday :D
