Mine is a Kindle Fire 7" :) It's a tablet - does books, but also email, photos, internet access and Apps, such as Facebook. And all for about £50 ;)

I'm sure that when I had my first Kindle, the book one, there was something called 'experimental browser' on it. It didn't work very well though.

Ahhh that's what I call my tablet - I can read books on it (and t'internet etc) but the 'proper' Kindle I have is backlit which is clearer for me :D

That's cleared that up!!

The buses around here are flippin' useless.
I went to get one this morning, the 9.01 from the stop down on the main road. I left home at 8.50 and it's a 3 minute walk, if that, and the main road can be see for the last minute of the walk. I went early as I know they have form for not running to time.
I stood at the stop and then checked the app when it hadn't arrived and wasn't in view by 9.02 (I'd checked just before leaving home and it was showing as being on time).

It was already in town! It must've left the stop at least 8 minutes early.

Always knew we're a little bonkers

I'd done some weeding earlier  well, the ground was really wet and we have these weeds that just take over. Very pretty, no idea what they're called, but they have odd roots. As in tubers, very long white tubers.

I was trying to explain to Grumpy about the roots on t hem, went to show him and said, "they have roots, but not as we know them"

The pair of us just went into the Star Trek thing about things not as we know them, then both started, at the same time, singing about Klingons on the starboard bow.

Then got the giggles for about 10 minutes

Whoever is scheduling Amazon’s deliveries from the Stoke couriers needs a lesson in geography.
I was given an estimated time of between 2.30 and 5.30.
For the last hour the van has been traceable and it’s in Manchester.

The broadband has been on and off over the past few days.

So, there's this Openreach guy scooping out water with his hard hat from the connection box across the road.

"Problems?"
"The new builds have blocked the old drains as they connected the new drains - that's what we think."
"So it's their fault!"
"No, they say it's the rain."
"Hmm, it's not you and it's not them... it's the weather. We're screwed, aren't we?"
"You said it, not me."
