Postby Ally » 21 Jan 2020, 06:30

Good morning.

Lots of showers forecast...bring it on as we are in much need of rain!

Usual two classes this morning. Exam time so stressy for the students.

Coffee and pitufo mid morning then back to prepare for exam classes 4 - 7.

Home to Thai prawn curry and jasmine rice from my resident chef. :P :P

Have a great day.

Morning Ally, morning everyone

Sunshine and no wind - so far ;) Chilly start, but the sun should warm us up soon.

Enjoy the rain Ally, we have some from tomorrow 8-)

Thank you for your concern about Grumpy yesterday xx I made him do nothing at all, all day, which bored him rigid, but he's much better this morning. No dizziness, nothing. Checked his bp a couple of times yesterday and it was slightly high on the high, but normal on the low, so we're not worrying, just being aware.

Washing machine on, I couldn't do the other load yesterday, the wind was so strong it was taking the clothes off the line :o Dried it though

I'll get the housework done that I didn't finish yesterday and then just a pootle. If there's no wind, I'll pull up those dratted weeds on the lawn. Lovely flowers, but they grown to be enormous and have strong stems, so make it difficult to strim.

Have a good day everyone, whatever you're doing xx

Morning all, it is dull and drizzly here and not so cold. I was up early having breakfast before 8.30 as I am having a CT scan later on and need to be fasting for five hours beforehand. I also have to have some kind of blood test two hours before, so I’ll be bringing my book to the hospital to fill in the time. I’m also bringing a bag of books with me as the hospital has a little library and I was told they would be delighted to get more books.

Good morning all, it's grey and frosty here.

Billy's had his walk and I'm just having a quick coffee before getting the bus to Stafford.

Al, I love Thai prawn curry! It's a rare treat here as John doesn't eat prawns.

Hope all goes well at the hospital Osc x

Have a good day all!

Hello. Off out shortly on the TV hunt again for FiL.
The very nice man at Curry's explained to us yesterday that by the sound of it FiL has an old Sky box which has a SCART lead to the TV.
He also said that just about all new TV's now don't have a SCART lead, they have an HDMI lead. Sooooo, we need either a new Sky box or a SCART/HDMI adapter.
Should have known it wouldn't be straightforward!  We've taken pictures of the old Sky box so Curry's will know which leads / adapters we need . We should be able to get it all set up today.
Bright and sunny here with a frosty start.
Cottage pie and veg for tea tonight. :)
Have a good day all.

Morning all :)

Wishing your students all the best Ally XX

Jan, I'm glad Grumpy is ok :)

Good luck with the scan Osc ((x))

Frosty here too Jo, but brilliant sunshine, it's a beautiful wintery day here :)

Hope you win the fight Saundra ;) xx

Well remind me not to suggest that Mick might like to join me seeing his mum when he's on leave (ok I was after a lift, as it's freezing :P ) because we seem to have taken a detour to Euro Car Parts, and I'm currently sitting in the car on an industrial estate at Quedgely - apparently he ordered a new battery for Goldie! Flipping cold, I'll need a cuppa soon to warm up :cute:  Up to D's after that  Brrrrr!

Stay warm everyone :) xxx

Howdy everyone and happy Tuesday afternoon - another lovely sunny but very nippy day here; just love these days. Had a vet appointment for one of the cats this morning, thankfully catching him was a lot easier than usual which made it all a lot less stressful. He's usually a nightmare. But at least got the all clear and have a treatment plan going forwards that I'm happy and comfortable with.

Usual work day today and then heading over to my friend this evening - the one that had the minor op yesterday. Ended up not going as the friend who collected her from the hospital had only just left her so there wasn't a need to check up and Susan felt absolutely fine. So going tonight instead.

Jan, so glad Grumpy is doing OK and good idea to keep an eye on the BP and make sure all is OK
Crommers, speak to sky - they should replace the box free of charge without costing extra as far as I know.
Osc, good luck for your appointment today and lovely to be taking books for their little library - they will be appreciated I am sure

Have a lovely day everyone and good luck to your students Ally!
