The Spivs...

... could do more damage than the coronavirus.

There is no such thing as an investor anymore. Investors put money or other assets into a company in the hope that over time it would grow and then pay them back more than they put in - they invested.

Today people use agents to gamble for a quick buck and if one is not coming they go somewhere else. They are anything but investors, regardless of what the media calls them. The agents use algorithms and software to get in and out, out and in as fast as possible - and it's all legal. The more funds they have and the better and faster the algorithms and software are the more money they make. Some of them are so big they can even influence the markets.

Today stock markets around the globe crashed. The companies registered with them didn't suddenly fail, go bust or collapse. They are still perfectly viable companies, but they are having to cope with a possible virus pandemic over which they have no control, so they cannot make as much money as before.

The spivs, therefore, sell, get out, lose as little as possible and then, like vultures, sit and wait...Some of those companies could now fail, but so what?

When the pandemic is over those companies that survived will start to make money again and the spivs will buy in, at the lowest price, and the shares will rise. New companies will emerge to take the places of the ones that died and their penny shares will become dollar shares and then multi-dollar shares. The spivs will be in heaven.

Meanwhile that pension you took out to see you in your old age lost out. Your promised payments are just a little lot lower than you expected and might not even equal what you paid in, but the spivs are laughing. They made loadsa money out of people dying or becoming ill and you lost your comfortable retirement.

Unfettered Capitalism is grand, innit?

Yes it is all a moneymaking game.

Don't be too downhearted those same spivs who bet against Tesla last year, drove the share price to the bone and almost killed the company by cutting off access to funds... Have lost $15bn year on year.

They created a whole ecosystem of lies and deceit to make a fat buck. Some, who were sucked in, lost the lot.

Not very honourable though.
