Absolutely tiddling it down since the early hours here as well.
And, of course, today was the day we'd arranged for new carpets to be fitted, so workmen in and out all morning …
Hope you can get revised flights sorted, Osc - I imagine Ryanair or EasyJet might be asked by the UK Government to step into the breach to try and preserve "connectivity".

hello all

had a lovely day out yesterday; doing the tree planting thing. Between 8 of use we managed to plant about 300 little whips - some easier to plant than others. It got a bit uncomfortable around 2pm so we called it a day an hour before we were due to finish. Usually the company that arranges the event has a gazebo and hot and cold water for tea and coffee etc, but Monday night their storage container was broken into and a lot of their equipment was stolen - so we had nothing; hence leaving earlier; just a tad cold and wet at that point

Osc, hope you manage to get the flights sorted - but then equally keep an eye on that cruise in case they cancel that due to ongoing virus issues.

Wet and miserable here today as well; really sick and tired of this weather now - I am longing for some sun on my face

Enjoy the rest of the day everyone, stay warm and dry xxxx

PS probably won't have much time to post tomorrow either - board meeting day which is always really busy

Afternoon everyone :)

Lots of posts already, so I'll just wave rather than reply individually ;)

Been to Sainsbury's with D, got Pilates tonight. It's rotten gloomy cold and damp here - like Ria I'm fed up with it! Longing for some sun, and more than slightly concerned about whether or not our holiday will still be on :?

Love to all xxxx

Oh dear Osc, hope you can it sorted x

Such a shame, Ria, when you all volunteered to help.

Piddled down here this morning  but brightened up and the washing has blown dry. Yup, that cold north wind is back and I'm wearing three layers, even in the new room  and drinking a mug of coffee.

This is day three of no booze 8-) Grumpy is on the wine.

Hope the new carpets looks good Ossie :D and are dry ;)

Evening all - *waving like Kaz!*

Been a busy day....well since last night when I got in from work, I was out again to pick up my sister and meet Jen at the pub for the quiz, we've not been for ages, so were very rusty!! We had food also, and a bit of a chat, so a lovely evening.

Today our class was cancelled (Aquafit) as the coach is on holiday and they can't get cover for him, so Anne my friend and I arranged to meet for coffee. Who should come along as well but Pam, our friend who has been having radiotherapy for her BC, and on Monday got the all clear!! It was FAB to see her again, she's been having therapy daily for 5 weeks so no chance to stop and catch her breath, but now she is free again :) Anne didn't tell me Pam was joining us but I had a little feeling deep down that she would :) And we have had wall to wall sunshine all day, been gorgeous! In the café, the sun was streaming in and the lady opened the door to get a little cooler air in, it got so warm 8-)

When we left, I popped to Arnison and got some bits and then have been going mad at home, cleaning the inside of kitchen cupboards and fridge, spray painting 3 radiators and generally having a good clean in the house. I am cream crackered now so have just had a hot bath.

Have a nice evening all xxx

I’m cream crackered too! First of all, it looks as if the credit card company will refund the cost of our Flybe flights. So we’ve been busy going through the other options and have finally rebooked into and out of Gatwick with Ryanair, going by train to Southampton and back by coach as the return is a Sunday and the trains are messy. All booked, confirmation emails received, and thankfully enough over from our refund to buy lunch ;) I find this sort of stuff a bit stressful, but it all seems to be in order.

If Cunard cancel the cruise, so be it - we will get a full refund and still get a nice few days in the London area to visit friends/go dancing/take in a show :D :D
