Morning Ally. Just dropped MrsC off at daughter's to look after Eliza. I will be going back up in a while to bring them down here.
It has been on the local news about a scandal at West Yorkshire Police, where I used to work. :o
No surprises there then!
Later Eliza will insist that we watch Peppa Pig (it's great!) and maybe Waffle the Wonder Dog, who is the spitting image of Dobby, their dog. When Lee takes Dobby out for a walk children point and shout "Waffle!".
Have a good day all.

Morning Ally, Crommers and everyone

Bit cloudy this morning, but still flip-flop weather 8-)

Denny coming up this morning, to fit the mozzie screen and door :Hi

Grumpy helped me with the drive yesterday, so that's finished :Hi: :Hi: I can concentrate on food today  Prepping for tomorrow's bbq, a marinade I've not made before, making the curry for Saturday and dicing up the rest of the chicken breasts for the freezer. Also prepping for tonight's stir fry.

Pepper Pig I've heard of Crommers, but not Waffle the Wonder Dog, will have to look out for it ;)

Have a good day everyone, whatever you're doing x

Morning all :)

Sounds good Ally :) xxx

That's cute, Crommers :) xxx

Would kill for some flip-flop weather, Jan - to be honest I'm not even sure I mean that metaphorically :cute: :P

It poured in the night, so we still can't now the lawn - it's starting to look like a rippling field of wheat out there   However, the sun's out now and I'm going shopping with D shortly. Mick has a day off, and is planning to tweak the security cameras, as there was another burglary near here recently :? Pilates tonight :)

Have a good day everyone :) xx

Morning all :D

Strange weather, one minute bright sunshine, the next raining :?

Managed to get most of what we went for yesterday, some aisles in Tesco were a bit sparce, but they've stocked up again with most things.

Popping over to M&S later. We won't be stopping for coffee though, giving that a miss for the time being. Not panicking, but we now have a confirmed case of the virus here. It's the parent of a child attending the Grammer school behind Waitrose in the town centre, his whole family are now in self isolation. My neighbour two doors away actually works there. There are other cases in Kent, but this is the first here in Thanet. It was bound to happen at some time, but I have to admit it's getting a bit too close to home for comfort!!

Hope you all have a good day :D

Afternoon all, Jen it's like that here. I went out in bright sunshine with Bill first thing and by the time we got home my hair was dripping wet and my face was stinging from the hail we'd been in. Typically that the minute we walked back through the garden gate, the rain stopped and the sun reappeared.

I've done some cleaning this morning and also dug out Joe's EHIC card and as I thought, it'd expired so I've ordered him a new one. They're only valid now until December and I'm not at all optimistic that they'll actually get to Rome, they've got travel insurance but better to have all bases covered I think.

Jen, that's a worry. I know there are cases in Staffordshire and Wolverhampton (which we're near on the Staffs/West Mids border) to but there's no specific information of which parts of those.

Crommers, I'm not sure if I dare look up Waffle. I've not entirely got over The Tweenies and Teletubbies yet.

Kaz, I managed to get our lawns cut one afternoon last week. It looks so much better out there now.

Have a good day all and keep washing those hands (might be a good time to buy shares in a hand cream company) xx

Good afternoon everybody,

Went shopping ths morning to Tssco with mrs.e. Met the wife of our taxi driver. She said they have already had bookings cancelled meaning a loss of income
of nearly one thouand pounds because customers are not going on holiday.
Had an email from the two companies we are cruising with this year. Both have said we can cancel up 48 hours before we should sail. We get a credit for a
future cruise in 2020 or 2021. Will have to wait to see what happens.

We are goung to have a new garage door. Si this afternoon I have cleaned the existing up and over door. Also checked if it will be possible to fit a new
automatic roller door. Have been to look at a supplier. Will get three estimates before we make decsion.

Had lots of rain and wind last night. But had sunshine today.

Been a gorgeous day 8-)

Denny was here before 9.00 and left about 1.00 and the new sliding mozzie screens are in - look lovely too. Pictures on fb.

Grumpy cleaned the pool - water is 17C, so not a hope of me getting in   and next doors dog jumped over the fence again and raced Denny (in his car) down the track. Police informed and we'll pop into the station tomorrow morning.

Molly is a little confused about the screen, but she's been in and out - will just have to train her to open and close it
