It's all common sense really, and we will do everything to comply with the guidance - but there are still certain tasks I have to schedule during the 12 week period (note they don't mention a time length in the advice); for example, the car MOT and picking up scrips from the pharmacy …….

I was wondering earlier what will happen with picking up medication. I always collect my Mom's, every two months, and I can do the prescription online but obviously have to go to the pharmacy to collect her tablets. What made me ponder this was your comment earlier about how your GP surgery wasn't allowing anyone in. The pharmacy in our village is actually within the GP's surgery and a lot of elderly use it, many people around here don't have cars so to use another would mean taking public transport.

Having said all of that, there looks to be a lot of people on social media who are offering to help with shopping etc so perhaps a pharmacy run is something else that's needed.

Well my parents finally decided to sign up for Asda home delivery.

My Brother suggested that they should at least order once before they really need it.

So they have.

Of course it is common sense.

For me the main thing is putting money on the gas and electric to keep warm as I am on pre-pay. The rest I can work round, as we all can if we try, even for 12 weeks. We are not all going to die, despite what the press would have us believe. Millions of those over 70, and who have problems, never see anyone for months on ends anyways, not even family and supposed friends, so not much changes there.

Jo, some of us are helping with online scrips so that the pharmacies scrips can either be collected or be delivered.

What I now worry about, and this does concern me, is what happens if / when the gas or electricity goes off - it could.

If those workers get ill and cannot get to work we are screwed, really screwed. No number of civil servants, politicians. journalists, PHD graduates in PPE, economists or 'Think tankers' will be able to bridge that gap - we will have no gas or electricity.

Most pharmacies will deliver these days. We usually collect our prescriptions, but I plan to pop into Boots tomorrow and arrange delivery from now on.

Just rung my pharmacy can either take a prescription into the drs ((part of the pharmacy)next door then,go back 2?days later and collect it then into the pharmacy to get it made up


or go into the drs reception area take all these documents

a passport birth certificate and utility bill then try and go one line with there one line service all while I'm supposed to be at home and got to go by taxi if been with these drs 14years and we are to my mind in an, emergency situation

Jen our boots don't deliver here and I had to nearly plead with the pharmacy at the drs to deliver to me after I became ill with the sepsis

We have got the MOT and service booked for April.

Also aromatherapy for mrs.e and pedicure as well as visit to dentist.
Had a text from our doctor. It says to phone and a doctor will phone back as soon as possible. If the phone consultation requires a face to face meeting a time will be allocated when to go to the surgery. Told not to visit the surgery to make an appointment.
Can re-order prescriptions on the computer. Will then walk to the chemist to pick them up.
Will be going to Tesco to pick up some food probably on Saturday. Not buying a lot so it does not go out of date.
