I don't get this. We are all supposed to be isolating as best we can, and yet they stand 4 deep in a queue for a supermarket........

Most of the perishable stuff they took is going to be wasted for sure.

Cravendale milk tends to have a longer "use by date" than ordinary milk. But by about a week; certainly not 3 months ….. :|

It's one of those things, Shell, people still need to shop and not everyone can get a delivery as the demand has become so great.

Lads, I have always bought UHT full milk.... because I like the taste. There has been none on the shelves - not skimmed, semi or full - since the middle of last week.

Same here WM, we've been using skimmed long life milk for years, the fresh stuff is so watery by comparison. Because we go through so much and it's too heavy to cart home, we always have it delivered. Luckily we did our 6 weekly stock up last week so have enough to get us through for a while. Wonder if all the people who've been out panic buying will actually use it.

Suff is right, a lot of perishable stuff will go to waste

I got Dettol antibacterial/antiviral surface wipes from Poundland, I usually use the spray version but I'm running low and obviously there's none to be found in the shops, and I got paracetamol from there too. I usually have a few boxes by us but we'd all had a virus and were down to the last box.

I bought some from Wilko's in the end Jo, a pack each of their own brand wipes for 50p each xxx

My Tesco order has been delivered. Bearing in mind that the shop had been open for less than an hour when my order was picked, there were a lot of out of stocks.

It comes from the 24hr Tesco Extra in Stafford and the driver said that they closed last night at 10 and reopened, as fully stocked as possible, at 6am and he said that a full delivery of toilet rolls had sold out by 7.

Jo I think it's going to end up with the police or military involved.
Unless people stop their behaviour. MrsC has just been to Aldi and B@M in Featherstone. she knows a girl who works in Aldi who told her that people were queuing to get in the Aldi car park this morning when they opened. People were snatching stuff out of the hands of staff trying to fill the shelves. No toilet roll, no tissues or kitchen roll, no bread etc etc.
There is obviously no end to the selfishness and greed of some people. Appealing to their better nature won't work because they don't have a better nature.
So some form of rationing or force is going to have to be used to stop them.
