The benefits of killing my FB account just keep rolling in...  Although I got on well with my MIL until the day she died. Mrs S on the other hand, if she received a FB friend request from my mother she'd have hysterics. Just as well she doesn't have an account.

I have managed to secure you a place on the International Space Station. You have to be at Baikonur Cosmodrome in Kazakhstan by April the 8th for launch on the 9th. Give us a wave as you fly by.

A quick update on where I am with getting my son back from Argentina.

Because the numbnuts has let his passport expire more than a decade, he falls outside the emergency travel document window and "should" apply for a passport in situ.

The Embassy in Argentina have been good and have requested an exception immediately. They were supposed to be on holiday yesterday and today but I recieved an email this morning that was sent after midnight by the pro consul.

I'm going to keep his flight for tomorrow and see what we can do to convince the airline to fly him. Hopefully the formal recall of all British citizens should help. I'll be asking for that to be sent to him in both English and Spanish.

When I finally get him home we will have a discussion about keeping you identity current.

So the embassy and the home office have approved his ability to get emergency travel docs. He has his birth cert with him so he's sending that and a photo plus filling in his passport application. The embassy is getting him authorisation to fly to BA and then they'll sort his emergency travel forms when he gets there.

I've booked him a flight for Sunday (over £1,000 but better than £3,000 on Saturday), his Hotel from Wed to Sunday and am looking at overnight accommodation for him at Schiphol. I don't really want him dossing in the airport Monday night.

Things are moving. The embassy has been great.
