Ria, the way I read it the answer is yes, you can go, however, this is what the ex and I have worked out should we have to shop for each other. So, for you and Nadine:

Nadine gets the veg and takes it home. You go round and toot your horn / phone or text. Nadine opens the door and puts the veg on the step then goes back in and shuts the door. You get out of your car, go pick up the veg and drive away. It would also work if Nadine brings the veg to you and leaves it on the step, toots, you pick up.

The neighbours opposite are having their fachias and soffits replaced, started yesterday, they're back today....there is a large housing estate being built near us and they're linking the electricity from the sub station which is across the road from me, to the new estate, so the road is up and building work continues while it is.

I can't really see any evidence of lockdown as yet.

They really shouldn't be doing that Gal :( What will it take for people to "get" it

Ria, it should be absolutely fine for you to pick up your food from Nadine.

Had a text from an friend down the road this morning.

Would we like to swop some jigsaws for books?

On our way to the supermarket tomorrow, we'll beep the horn, leave the books in a bag by their gate and collect the jigsaws the same way, no doubt having a chat from the bottom of the drive.

As long as we're all sensible…...

These came from Becky who is stuck in Vietnam as all international flights are cancelled. She can't now get out even if she wanted to.

I had a friend call me from up by Calais yesterday. He was stopped on the back roads heading into Calais and he and his partner were castigated for both going shopping in one car as only one person was allowed in the shops.

No fun here. But quiet.

I don't think they can Saundra - I saw it too. Those in Vietnam could go to Singapore or Tokyo and then on to the UK but those routes out are now shut.
