Morning all, tired sitting in Paris CDG arrivals. I've been here since just after 7am having left home at 2am. The journey back will be weary but at least I will have someone to talk to.

Not long now he's landed and is talking to me on WhatsApp.

I had no checkpoints at all last night. In fact I saw 3 cars and one van on 300km of Autoroute, the rest was one long line of trucks. Too much to hope for that it will be the same later today. I have already been checked at the airport once by the airport police.

I brought some forms for my son just in case. Fortunate as the form they gave him in Argentina was out of date and can't be used.

My son writes a bit. I suggested his story might make a good book and film.

Have a great day all.

Morning Ally, Suff and everyone

Clouds and sun this morning. More cloud than sun though   Might get some more wet stuff later - it hammered it down yesterday afternoon, lovely 8-)

Hope you're on your way home now Suff and you don't get stopped too many times x

Pasty making for me today :D Haven't made any for a long time. Will need a break from weeding/strimming as my back is telling me I'm getting old (er) :cute:

Not sure what Grumpy will be doing, I've asked him to spray the beams on the back terrace, as we have a muncher in there

Have as good a day as you can everyone xx

Good morning everybody.

Bright and sunny and the wind has dropped so it was warmer when I walked for the paper.

Will do some more cleaning today. We will also go for a short walk this afternoon.

Morning everyone.

Cake baking sounds good Ally 8-)

Jan, giving your back a rest is sensible ;)

Phew, Suff! :)

Morning Cruiser x

My plans today are for cleaning, ironing, and walking on the field opposite. Will be talking to D and H at some point. Need to call my sister tonight, hopefully she's working from home by now, I know she was planning to. She runs a department of Adult Social Services, dealing with the money etc of adults who go into care, but have nobody to take PoA for them, so mainly on the PC or phone anyway. Spoke to Chris last night, he's fine working from home and isn't minding the solitude.

Take care everyone xxx

Morning all. It's grey and cold here.
Talked to some old friends on fb last night. Also got called a naughty name by some random on the local village fb page who to the best of my knowledge I've never met.
That's the problem with the net it gives a platform for people you can otherwise avoid. Present company excepted obviously.
MrsC to her dad's soon. I'm impressed by all the good work being done by you all.
Bacon chops for tea. Have a good day all.

Morning all, it’s cloudy and cold here. We didn’t need the heating on much last week, but yesterday and today it has been back on. Still deciding what to do today, but that is not too unusual anyway

Morning All. Cold and overcast with an occasional gleam of sun.

Hope the return journey goes OK, Suff.

Plenty of silly comments and minor aggro on out town FB page, Crommers. I'm not registered on there, I merely observe. Useful for shop opening time changes, Dorset County Council pronouncements, so on, but otherwise …..

All Council garden waste collections are suspended here from today, so we'll be creating a compost heap (well, dump!) as the bottom of the garden behind the shrubs. It's a "paid for" service, so we may be in line for some sort of compensation when the dust settles.

Might be a bit of baking here too, Ally, this afternoon, but first priority is to make a batch of soup from the remaining wilting fresh vegetables we have. Over-the-road has had a shopping basket on wheels delivered by Yodel, not a bad idea really - exercise and essential shopping!

Take care everyone.

Hello all - would say morning all, but chances are by the time I finish typing this it'll be just gone noon :D

managed to give the dining room floor a thorough vacuum and steam mop - next to do the shelves and tidy the kitchen area and give the fridge and empty and clean. That's today's job. Tomorrow I'll do the lounge and once that is done then every surface in the house has had a good once over with Zoflora and steam - sure to kill anything that may be thinking of lingering :D I'm also being rather pedantic and wiping the slit for the letter box every day and also the latch on the gate - at least that then ensures Mr Postman and Mr Milkman have a clean surface to touch. Not that I, or my upstairs neighbour, have anything wrong with us; but it's a small thing that may just help.

Suff, safe drive home
Jo, keep us updated re your dad

everyone else, stay safe and look after yourselves and each other xxx (((hugs)))
