Morning all :D

Another bright and sunny day 8-)

Another one with no patience for jigsaws Jan, hope you get some sun today.
Crommers enjoy time with Eliza.
What a horrible woman Jo!!
Glad you saw a video of Scarlett Saundra, not as nice as a cuddle, but better than not seeing her at all.

Our delivery from Sainsbury yesterday was all as expected except for the cabbage ordered. It cost 85p and was little more than an extra large brussel sprout, everything came in plastic bags so we didn't notice until after the driver had gone or we'd have given it back. Never mind the other veg delivered is very good quality and more than enough to last us a week.

E had a phone call from the hospital about his bone scan which was due to be scheduled before his op. He didn't have a date, it was just to assure him he's on their list and will hear from them when it's safe to call him in.

Finally got through to BA and our flight cancellation refund is being processed :D :D

Washing day here, it's about as exciting as it gets

Hope you all have a good day, stay safe xx

Good afternoon everybody.

Had two parcels delivered yestrday just before 5.0 p.m. We wondered who had rung the bell. One was new inks for my cleanre ordered on 30th March. They usually arrive next day.

Have been to esco this morning. Had to wait in a queue for nearly 30 minutes before we got inside. There is a oe way system in the aisles with arrows on the floor and staff makingsure you go the correct way. It was nearly ten before we got home. Have enough food till next week apart from bread and milk. Can get this from a small Tesco which is closer.

Having a lazy afternoon.
Have a good day everybody

Sainsbury's was a bit of a ' mare this time actually :? Queued for almost half an hour, and people weren't being as respectful of the distancing last weekend  I needed a big trolley as I was also getting D's shopping, and it got heavy to push! Still, all done now 8-)

B pegged the washing out for me, it's a lovely day for drying 8-) I was going to do more cleaning this afternoon, but it can wait until tomorrow - it's not like we'll be going anywhere

Good afternoon - a rather pleasant, bright day out there, plenty of fluffy clouds.

We would have had a lazy morning but by the time we'd fielded two phone calls, had coffee, and done a crossword it was suddenly time for lunch! We have a good display of tulips and daffs out back; the wood pigeons and rock doves are quartering the lawn for seed (I accidentally spilled a load the last time I replenished the bird feeders  ), the robins are back and bopping along the branches, and late yesterday we had an uncommon but not entirely rare visit by a sparrowhawk which surveyed the scene from our back fence for a while.

I'm the jigsaw fanatic in the household but I complete the on-line ones you can download for free from the MSN games store. They are in all different sizes, but I usually go for the 432 piece ones, as the 600 piece ones are a bit too small for my failing eyesight! They take anything from 90 minutes to 3 hours depending on the picture.

We shouldn't need to do any more shopping for a quite a long while after my visit to the supermarket yesterday. We've enough fresh fruit and veg for at least a week, but after that we'll go without until the crisis peak is over. I managed to pick up a Cravendale milk flagon which has a long shelf life, but we've already started on that - when it's finished we're down to long life milk cartons. As for bread, two loaves in the freezer and after they're used, we'll make do without.

Sorry you had that distressing incident with the cruel dog owner, Jo. Lot of ignorant people out there, sorry to say.
At least you're close enough to be able to help out, Crommers, so that's a bonus.
Hope your Kindle recovers, Saundra!
Washing day here will be Sunday, Jen, when the weather's better - something to look forward to
Well done with your shopping, Kaz, but interesting that you found the "respect" was diminishing. I hope that's not the shape of things to come ...

Keep safe, all

People seemed a bit more frazzled Ossie, like you I'm hoping it isn't a trend :?

We have bread and milk in the freezer Ossie, for when the worst of it hits....

Jo, I missed that before, what a horrible woman! :( xx

Should I be shopping sooner rather than later then? I didn't plan on doing any till Monday at least (or get Tom to do it again as I am such a scaredy cat re going out atm) but we are getting low on stuff and have no backup, just what Is currently in the freezers.

I have been painting again!! I THINK it might be done now, I watered the paint down a fair bit in the hope it would cover more, and it does appear to have....then I had to put everything back, and then I started glossing the paintwork in our room, so had to empty it to get to the skirting boards, and our bed is a bloody heavy thing, even with no duvet/pillows on it - I was on the go from 9.30 till almost 2, without a break - and THEN I washed everything I'd used, including my painting clothes, and did the bathrooms.....so I reckon I will earn my hot bath tonight (to be taken shortly)

Donna is feeling a bit better today and is talking about returning to work on Monday after her 7 days are up! I'm a bit concerned as she HAS been pretty poorly all week....plus she will be going back to her community nursing....not sure whether \\\it's just me, but like IE I feel REALLY exposed when I go out, I haven't attempted the shops yet, walking is ok but I give people about 10m gap rather than the 2 they advise......proper cautious me!

Jo what a horrible woman, no wonder you were upset! People like that really shouldn't be allowed a pet

Jan I used to love doing jigsaws, we do them with the kids when they visit, but they're only little ones. I don't think I could do a big one as I don't have the space nowadays, I use the dining table for going on the computer etc, and Tom always puts mail and things on it  :| But yes 1000 piece plus - love them! My mam and I used to do them loads in the early 70s, I'd be about 14 or 15 then, the days when the telly used to close down about 10.30 and the candles would come out!
