Good Morning Thursday

Postby Kaz » 09 Apr 2020, 07:22

Morning all :)

I hope everyone here is fit and well :)

It's the Sainsbury's shop today, not really looking forward to it. Luckily Becky is off work and has volunteered to help me by doing D's shopping for her. We'll walk up there and queue using separate trollies 8-) No Zumba tonight, but I've done three this week, which is really helping to keep me moving :)

It's another lovely day here, so might sit out in the garden for a while this afternoon :)

Stay safe everyone xxxx

Morning Kaz, morning everyone

Nadine was going to pop into Morrison's yesterday but apparently 40 or so people queuing to get it so she skipped it; wasn't anything needed urgently so..... It'll be interesting to see today how long the lock-down is going to be extended by Cobra.

Going to pootle this morning and then three conference calls this afternoon; the first one at 12 and the last one at 4. The 12 o'clock one is our regular weekly UK office catch up so we can just all say hi and have an update on how everyone is doing which is great. Will head to the allotment this evening after the last call just for a quick water of three of the raised beds and some weeding. Tomorrow I'm hoping to jet wash the patio; that always makes such a difference and the weather will be fab for it to dry quickly

Not much else to report this end - have a lovely day all

xxx

Morning everyone

Wet :Hi: :Hi: and grey :( but warm

That means my plans for today have been scuppered, so I'll stay in the kitchen this morning and cook stuff. Chilli, shepherds pie and a curry.

Have as good a day as you can everyone xx

Morning MrsC and her sister have been to our Sainsbury's local. No flour or antibac wipes, pretty good for everything else.
They are off to their dad's shortly.
A very grey day here today and not too warm.
As ever with MrsC's rellies, nothing comes simple. Her Uncle Jud had a will drawn up before he died, but nobody seems to know if he signed it or not. One of MrsC's aunts (Sarah known as Sally) married a man called Harry. Uncle Harry is the money man who has handled his wife's family's money for years.
There is a slight problem to my mind though - only Harry knows where it is! He's honest, that's not the issue.
But he is 88, and if he were to pass away, then what?
We'd all be round at Harry's with our shovels, digging his garden up!
Stay safe and have a good day all.

Good morning, another glorious day here. I have washing almost ready to go out and really must do some ironing to make room for more ironing :? A friend just phoned me from outside the house, we waved and had a chat. Her daughter had premature twins a few weeks back so she travels to the other side of the city several times a week to help out, thankfully the babies are doing great. We are excited about our grocery delivery later today

Morning all :D

Another lovely sunny day 8-)

Good luck with the shopping trip Kaz.
Blimey Crommers, you certainly do have fun and games with Mrs.C's rellies.
Hope you delivery arrives okay Osc.

After trying and much refreshing of the page I finally managed to get a delivery slot with Sainsbury yesterday afternoon. Mind you the only ones on offer cost £6.50 and to add insult to injury it will be arriving at 8am on Saturday morning  Free delivery only if the order exceeds £100. The other two slots offered were as costly and even earlier. I'm feeling a bit cross with them tbh, I've never paid more than £2 in the past and the dearest is usually £4, the price is going to be a lot for some elderly people. Still grumble over, at least we'll have a nice roast dinner for Easter.

Not much happening today, we're planning to sit out in the garden and enjoy the sunshine.

Hope you all have a good day, stay safe xx

Busy morning in the kitchen :D

Change of plan re the shepherds pie, there really isn't enough room in the freezer for a big bowl, so I made some burgers instead. Chilli done, curry done and I've just finished carrot and coriander soup. We'll have to eat some of it for lunch  I might squeeze some in the freezer - somewhere.

That's appalling re the delivery costs Jen :cute:

Rain stopped for now, but it looks like we'll get some more. Quite warm though 8-)

Well an update on my Sainsbury order. Popped in this morning to make a few changes and found slots for tomorrow at a much better cost of £3.50 so I've managed to move my delivery. Interestingly the overpriced Saturday slots are still showing.........I wonder why ;)
