I have the windows open and there is a lovely breeze blowing all the stale air away and all I can hear is the birds singing their heads off. It is a good day, a very good day.

No it was for specific issues, but I'm really glad your FiL was clear too :) Also glad that your Becky is ok, and the pup :) xx

And then we had several power cuts, as I was cooking dinner.

Never ask a non-cook (Grumpy) to sort out the clock on the oven.

It's working he said, I can hear it. Yes, I said, it's a fan oven and it's cooling down. The light isn't on and we need to re-set the timer ( I can't do it, he has to  ) I said. But look at the potatoes he said, they're sizzling. But the light isn't on, I said, if the light isn't on, the oven is not on.

Wouldn't have it  :cute: Get the instruction manual out.

:cute: :cute: :cute: :cute: :cute: :cute: :cute:

I managed to find it - in Portuguese ;)

I'll just turn off the oven, I said and then you can re-set the time.

Why? he said. the oven is working.

The blasted oven is NOT WORKING, I muttered, the light is off, the potatoes are going cold, I will turn it off and you can re-do the time.

If you think so, he replied.

So I turned it off, he did the time and the potatoes cooked perfectly :D
