Good morning Sunday

Postby Ally » 19 Apr 2020, 06:23

Good morning.

Just watched a stunning sunrise whilst sitting on my bedroom terrace.

It's 50 weeks today since mum passed away. :( I'm finding myself going through every memory from this time last year. I was talking to Craig yesterday about it and he's suggested him, Jacob & Conor do a video call with me and Don at noon today. That'll certainly bring some love and laughter which will be lovely.

Have a decent day everyone.

Morning Ally, morning everyone

A tad blowy this morning  but the sun is out and the birds are tweeting away. Although I think we have one in the fire, so will have to get the resident bird catcher out of the way first

How quickly time goes Ally, huge hug to you all x

Off to Pingo and the chemist this morning. Getting enough to last us at least a couple of weeks and then hopefully, our area, will be beginning to open up a little. There are still no cases in our area, although we are surrounded by the odd one or two cases in other districts. Still no deaths in the Alentejo, which is incredible.

My back went twang yesterday, so had a gentle day - ponged a bit of Deep Heat though  - so will be taking it easy again today.

Lamb on the bbq later - looking forward to that and doing broad bean and feta salad to go with it.

Have as good a day as you can everyone xx

Good morning everybody.

The sun is out but still a cool breeze.

Saw robins and blue titis in the garden this morning, as well as sparrows and blockbirds.

Will clean the car windows this morning.

I've just ordered 6 Samantha Hayes books from Amazon.

I've read more than 20 books since lockdown.

And swam what feels like a million kms.

Morning all.

Yesterday our well ran out of water for the garden so setting up three water butt's and connecting them to one of the gutters became a priority. Today it is to rain all day and we will monitor how the filling is going.

Fortunately I took the olive tree out of a tub and planted it in the second courtyard first thing out of imposed isolation. It was sitting on the well cover.. So I'll be able to see how much it has recovered.

Look after your back Jan, since I hurt mine in the Army, then fell through a roof onto it after, I have a healthy appreciation of just how much I don't want to hurt it again.

Back from Ourique and I'll do the shopping on a Sunday for a while, place was empty. Well, about 10 people wandering around, so able to keep our distance.

But the chemist was shut  I'd checked their website before we left, just in case, but they obviously haven't updated it

We dropped in to see Mitchell on our way back, as I'd found some álcool, so bought him one too.

I was thinking about weeding sitting down, but have been told to take the day off, so I will 8-) :Hi:

Good morning all, a lovely morning here.
It's bound to be an emotional time for you Ally. (((Ally))).
Another here who has hurt their back. Once trying to lift a massive earthenware sink and once getting out of the back seat of a two door car.
So take it easy Jan. Like Suff says you really don't want to hurt it again.
We have just got back from an abortive trip to Sainsbury's in Wakefield. The queue looked too long so we didn't bother; we came back to the village and got a few bits from our Sainsbury's local instead. The roads are so quiet!
If the queue for Sainsbo's was too long though you should have seen the one for The Range next door! It was like a football crowd. Honestly, what's so vital that you need to queue for so long outside The Range? I just don't get it. I know they have an Iceland in the store but even so.
That's about it. Me and MrsC plan a good long session of staring at each other like a pair of cats later.
Have a good day all.

Morning all, it’s quite dull here but we will head out for a walk soon. The power box for the hatch out to our terrace is malfunctioning, so Edward has disconnected it for now and has phoned his nephew who is the local electrician and did all the electrical work during our build. However he is never great at getting back to us, although he only lives up the road so it’s easy to pop in when he finally does get back to us. Therefore part of my morning has been spent looking up and sending emails to the supplier of the box (in Denmark) and the supplier of the hatch (in UK), as you can imagine we are not hopeful of anything happening anytime soon :?

Today I’ll clean the bathroom, I can hardly bear the excitement.
