Leftovers for dinner - with the requested chips. honestly, he'll look like a chip soon

Morning all.

Sunny but slightly overcast here. Our rain is not enough to really replenish water levels, so it is needed to keep the new plants going at least.

How is your back doing Jan?

Have a great day all. Mrs S is already planning mine.

Morning all :)

It's beautiful here too Saundra - thank goodness, as it means I can sit in the garden :) xxx

Hope you get your rain Jan 8-) xxx

Morning Suff :)

No real plans today, might find some washing that needs doing if I look hard enough :) Will run the Hoover round at some point. B is off work, and currently doing a zoom session with her personal trainer - in Harry's room as there is a big screen on the wall in there, plus enough clear floor space to work out in :P

Take care everyone, and have a good day :) xxx

Morning all

a lovely sunny day here as well - had a load of washing in the machine last night so that's out to dry. Chickens have been moved from their run in the back to the patch in the front garden so they can continue scarifying the lawn (they're good at that - but unfortunately don't quite differentiate between moss and lawn :D so I'm sectioning them off)

More general non specific pootling today - never quite sure how it happens, but before I know it the end of the day has come and I've been so busy doing not much but the day has gone in a whizz.

That made me laugh

Fingers crossed for the rain Jan

Saundra, it's so dry here as well - we had that rain a few days back but it's not enough. I put in a few plants yesterday so will be watering later today. Not sure what will come of them, they're flower bulbs that a friend had on her allotment that she didn't want (she took on this bit of the plot last year so is now clearing it for veg). So I rescued what I can but most bulbs lost their foliage in the process; best case is they'll come up again next year but not flower; worst case they do nothing - but at least I tried. I've also got a load of dahlia tubers so need to figure out where to put them - don't really have the space here at home so now planning another flower border, why not :D

Enjoy the sunshine everyone and stay safe. Big hugs xx

Morning all, it’s sunny here but there is a cold easterly breeze. We went out for a walk before breakfast and I also took the car for a quick drive around the block. I have towels on the line, they should dry nicely. I want to do some gym exercises today and will start on the ironing.

Much better, thanks Suff. Been doing not a lot of bending down, although I did succumb yesterday  The gravel path to the compost bin was getting a bit weedy, so did it on my way back to the house

Slapping a load of deep heat on it and lying down seems to help - and reading and snoozing whilst doing so

Big grey clouds around now and we've been warned of heavy rain, thunderstorms and hail

Good morning all, it’s a sunny and breezy one here.

Billy saw his friend Pepper while we were out, they can’t quite work out why they’re both put on their leads when they see each other now. They always love to have a good run around together.

There’s a load of washing in the machine, it shouldn’t take too long to dry outside today so that’ll be ready to iron later but I might leave it for tomorrow, otherwise I’ve got nothing to look forward to.

Much love to you all xx

Morning all :D

Bright and sunny, but a tad chilly at the moment, hoping it warms up as the day goes on.

Glad your back is a lot better Jan, just don't overdo it for a day or two.
Enjoy your day in the garden Saundra.
You certainly do sound busy Ria, I'm exhausted just thinking about it

Made me chuckle too Suff

Great excitement, our tumble dryer has arrived. Yes it's really come to that, oh how sad to be so thrilled to be doing some washing :o  Will be interesting, it's one of the new heat pump models, apparently they run for longer, but are 50% cheaper to run. Might mean I have to change the way I do the laundry, but as I tumble dry most of my wash any saving has to be good.

Hope you all have a good day, stay safe xx

Good morning - cloudless sky here, but a stiff breeze which has sent piles of tumbleweed down out back passage  , so out with the broom.

Washing load already on the line as it's perfect drying weather, recycling has been marshalled into the bins for putting out tonight, I've submitted repeat prescription requests by internet so I'm awaiting an acknowledgement, and the next job will be chopping onions and garlic for this week's batch of soup. Another busy day in lockdown ….

Don't forget around 10:00 tonight Elon Musk's Stat Link Satellite (s) are due to cross the UK from West to East and it / they are said to be an extraordinary spectacle. You can get details off the StarLink website.

Glad the tumble drier has arrived, Jen!

Have a good day, all!
