Good morning.

Looks nice out there.

Reading and swimming are today's thing.....for a change.

Something Thai inspired for dinner tonight.

Have a good day.

Morning Al and all, it’s a wet one here.

Joe’s gone to work and John’s in a video meeting, I’ll hoover once he’s done. I won’t be baking today. The lemon drizzle lasted a matter of hours on Sunday and there were just two pieces of chocolate shortbread left last night which I had my eye on for me and John with a cuppa once we’d had a sneaky walk with Bill. When we got back there were just crumbs on the plate where the shortbread had been....and a trail of crumbs leading to Joe’s room.

I’ve got some ironing to do, not a lot though, and I’ll mop the kitchen floor. I’ve already bleached the surfaces this morning. I might start one of the jigsaws that came yesterday. They’ve been so hard to get hold of these last few months and those in stock on Amazon have been selling for ridiculous prices but I saw a pack of two 1000 piece puzzles on Amazon for £8.99, one of London and the other of Amsterdam, and managed to get those before they quickly went out of stock. I also managed to get a really nice flower design one for my sister so that’s wrapped and I’ll leave it at my Mom and Dad’s house for her. It’s in quite a big box and by chance I had enough birthday wrapping paper for that but my Dad’s present is wrapped in Christmas paper

Take care all, much love xxx

Morning Ally and Jo, morning all

A very damp day here but the rain is very much needed so I'm quite happy to have an indoor pootling day. Plenty to keep me busy really. I had three perfect days over the weekend and yesterday and got loads done in the garden and at the allotment - just need to sow some flower seeds and then whatever sowing to be done is done and then it's a case of waiting. In the meantime I am going to try make my own scarecrow for the allotment - going to be a working lady one; so using some old work clothing and full make up. I was given a set of false eyelashes and I've got some gawdy earrings - she'll be one posh lady

Jo, re the puzzles - my local site Nextdoor (once you register it's local to your area only) there are a number of jigsaw and book exchanges going on; people leaving them out for each other. And once picked up, just leave them aside for 2 days then no issue with any form of cross contamination (if you are worried about that). So maybe try that?

Ally, enjoy the day by the pool

Have a lovely day all xx

Morning everyone

Lots of of grey cloud around so the forecast for rain this morning might be right. Then again, they might just disappear like the last few days and we get sunshine  Getting some sun through the clouds 8-)

If it rains, we won't be able to finish the strimming so have to come in. Plan b will have to come into effect. No idea what that is yet

I have to do the prep for tonights bbq and also make favas for tomorrow.

Like the sound of your posh lady scarecrow Ria :Hi:

Jo, that is very annoying. Used to happen in our house, when they boys were home. Paul, in particular, used to leave the smallest amount of cake, half a biscuit or even just enough milk to cover the bottom of the carton, then he couldn't say he'd eaten/drunk it all

Have a good day everyone, whatever you're doing xx

Morning all :)

Have a good one Ally :)

Jo, I know what you mean about the baking. I thought it would keep us supplied for a few days, but it just gets eaten so quickly :?

Ria, I love the sound of your scarecrow!

We have rain, too - the soft kind that soaks in nicely 8-) :) I have a Zumba scheduled for 10am, then might venture out for milk and anything D needs. That will involve a long walk, and for once I won't mind that it's raining....I

Have a good day everyone :) xxx

Morning troops. Grey here and cooler than of late.
It is the funeral of MrsC's Uncle Jud today at 1.30 pm. No Church service.
So I'll take her and her sister to their dad's and then onto the funeral later. He's not going. He wants to but he can barely walk, is always falling and it really wouldn't be a good idea.
After that I will have a run at Sainsbury's.
Have a good day all, stay safe.

Ria, I’m on Nextdoor but I’m a bit funny about having things second hand from people I don’t know.

Jan, Paul sounds just like Tom! It’s so annoying!

Kaz, enjoy your walk!

Crommers, it’s a sad situation when you can’t have a funeral isn’t it :( I hope all goes well xx
