As of Monday we no longer have to fill out an attestation form when we go out, we can travel more than 1km from the house to walk the dogs and we can all get in the car and go to the shops again.

Under the latest guidelines, sadly, all hairdressers, beauty salons and barbers must remain closed until at least July.

But the positive? Dog groomers can reopen for business immediately - and at least 3 in this area have now done so! :D

Well our furball will be extremely happy when ours reopen because she was not happy at all with the clipping I gave her.

In my defence I could not find the 5mm guard so she had to do with bare clippers.

At least she still has two ears, both eyes and a tongue.... :D

Idf we want to talk about good news, it is presented as something bad by the press. Yes, we have had 32,000 dead. But l, also, including care homes, the death rate dropped to 210.

It is not much more than a week when that rate was over 600. This is good news but you wouldn't think it from the press. It is the equivalent of 100 in Italy or Spain as they are not recording deaths outside of hospitals.

We can argue the toss all day about who has the real figures but the good news is that even with our own accounting the number of deaths per day is dropping. The downslope from the plateau is nowhere as steep as the upslope so it will take some time yet before we are safe(r) but we are getting there. I just hope that the current easing of what was only a partial lockdown anyway doesn't lead to too many people becoming complacent and causing another rise in cases and deaths.

I hope so too WM. But, as we have seen, people simply don't want to distance and won't take the time and the care to ensure they are safe.

What TFL is doing is another matter altogether. One tube every 20 minutes. 4bn loss? Why don't they just fold and let someone with a small subset of knowledge do a better job....
