Afternoon all, today is Day 1 of Phase 1 for us too - Edward can play golf so he is happy! It is quite a dull day but warm. Shortly I will drive him to the golf club, he will get his clubs, keep what he needs and I’ll bring the rest home. He will be walking home as he can’t share a car with someone from another household. Today is my sister’s birthday, and she is breaking regulations to come out to Howth to meet up with myself, Miss Osc and the children. I’ve made her a cake and we’ll have a little socially distant picnic. I ordered a present online but it hasn’t arrived in time :( I haven’t seen her in 7 weeks.

You what? It's an armed camp here, an armed camp! Apaches on the warpath wouldn't stand a chance of getting our flour!

I've still got half a bag of flour! Offers in gold bullion, on a postcard, please! :P

Exciting times here, the cleaning fluid for my new window vac has arrived! Mick ordered the vac on Saturday, it arrived Sunday but the great 'nana forgot to order the cleaner to go with it. I knew I should have done it myself   Anyway, that's my fun project for this afternoon ;) :D

Jen, I'm glad E is better, and I hope your ankle eases soon xx

Osc, have a lovely time, and Happy Birthday to your sister :) xx

:D Kaz I just use a drop of Fairy in the Karcher, still works a treat - enjoy!!!

Ally I too would be wary to go out just yet - I'm actually worried for when they ease restrictions here :( So today, very cross with Donna, you'd think after all she's a nurse etc, she has taken the kids to Alnmouth! :| Not only is it another county, and a gorgeous beauty spot (near our caravan) but there'd be no toilets or cafes open so in my head it's a waste of her time, let alone a risk to the health of those there! I know BJ said we could travel further now but I still don't think it wise to go to another county. I saw on the news that people were being fined and turned back from other N Yorks beauty spots. Just stupid.

I re-visited my teens this morning....drove across to my old home village and tried to emulate the walk I used to take my two young nephews on...through the woods to the train line. I got so far through, and could hear the trains were close but they just didn't appear....the woods didn't seem as familiar as I'd hoped they would (but it IS 45 years ago!!!) so after a little detour, I decided to call it quits as I didn't want to get hopelessly lost! (Tom's at work)

FaceTimed my sister when I got home, she said she wouldn't dare walk on her own in the woods, and then I made up the bed that I'd stripped earlier and put a thinner quilt on, the 13.5 one is currently airing on the line.

Glad to hear E is feeling better Jen, you be careful too xx

Osc I plan to visit my sister tomorrow when I pick up my Click and Collect from Asda - she doesn't know yet! I've not seen her since March 4th I hope you had a lovely time today xx

Seriously though, I’m surprised how hard it is to still get certain items. We’ve got a Tesco delivery coming tomorrow and I’ve been updating the order this afternoon. Much of the veg we need is out of stock, there are no eggs or flour to order at all, no Cornflakes of any brand and other plain cereals I’d look at as an alternative aren’t available either, rice is still out of stock.

Blimey Jo, that's poor. that's how we were a few weeks ago but Sainsbos has most things in now apart from Redoxon and antibac wipes.

Gal, after all that I didn't use it! Can you believe our window cleaner turned up, for the first time in three months?!

I agree re Donna, she should have more sense!

Jo, that's awful, the only thing I can't get here is flour!

I’ve just had to call my Mom because I order shopping for them to come with our delivery and out of the 10 things that she wanted, four have become unavailable since I spoke to her at teatime and updated the order.

Do you know what I can get though, and have been stocking up with for several weeks now?
Hand sanitiser
