Most of the Nightingale hospitals weren't used. My daughter spoke to a friend who is a manager in the NHS up here. Some of the ventilators ordered for Leeds were surplus to requirements and were sent to London.
Plus the economy is going off a cliff. If lockdown isn't eased how many people will die because of undiagnosed illnesses, commit suicide after depression etc?
Cummings might go. His approach has earned him enemies in the Civil Service. But imo this is all part of government bashing which is going to go on until the next election.
Just how long do we have to wait for our government to tell us what to do next time will tell|
