Off to Ourique after breakfast. Need to do a lot, see Nelson, see Sonia, see Fatima, post office, chemist, Pingo then home. Phew. Need to get it done early, although the library doesn't open until 10.00 now, but we can leave that until last.

Jan, hope you get it all done and then some relax time at home I hope. Been meaning to ask - is life at the bar back to normal or do you need to keep social distancing there and wear masks? Just won't feel the same if you can't all sit round the same table watching the world go by
Kaz, enjoy your Zumba and the rest of the day; don't overdo the housework bit

The bar hasn-t re/opened Ria and t he general feeling is that it won-t.

Such a shame as it really was a hub for everything and everyone.

Jose has been talking Odette into shutting it for a couple of years now, but it-s been in her family for three generations. Talking to Herbert and Jose Felipe on Sunday, when they came to bale the grass, they both think it won-t re/open and no/one in their right mind would take it on, not the hours that they were doing.

If I see Jose or Odette, I-ll ask them. Might be an option to have shorter hours, as they were open from 7 in the morning until 2 the following morning.

Good afternoon all, it’s warm and sunny here.

I walked Billy first thing, there were a lot of people about today. Maybe people were out before it gets too warm, there were certainly more walking than in the last week anyway. I hosed the garden when I got back and then walked over to the post office to post a drawing for John. Their drawings are on large sheets of paper but I made him fold and squash it into an A5 envelope so that I didn’t have to go in for a large letter stamp.
Next up is the hoovering.
