I am losing It

Postby cruiser2 » 12 Jun 2020, 08:49

Went to Tesco this morning after breakfast. They open at 7.00 a.m. Walked staright in.
When I had paid for the items I had bought went to another check out which wasclosed and transferred the shopping from the trolley
into several bags. Put the good leather shopping bag on the counter while I packed the other bags.

It was only whenI got home and unloaded the car found I had not got the leather bag which had my wallet with credit cards and
money in it as well as my mobile phone.
So a quick das back to the Tesco store. One of the very few times I have delibritally exceede the speed limit.
Went to security just inside the entrance. I had left the bag on the counter I had used to transfer the goods from the trolley.
Very relieved to recovery it intack. Wallet and phone at bottom hidden by some food.
Now relaxed after having a coffee.

You're not the first to do it Cruiser and you won't be the last! Glad you got your stuff back.

Glad you got all your things back Cruiser.

As Crommers said, you're not the first and I'll probably be next

Nasty moment, Cruiser ..... glad it was resolved.

I would echo the "not the first" comments which Jan and Crommers have posted. I vividly remember the time I was paying for a supermarket shop, went into my pockets to fetch out my car key ring which had the store loyalty card attached - and the car key ring wasn't there! To cut a long story short, I'd dropped it in the Post Office and thankfully someone had handed it in to the counter ... definitely not an experience I'd want to repeat in a hurry, though.
