It’s part of Shoal Hill Common which is between Cannock and Huntington.
This is the area by the pool

I was born and raised in West Cornforth, moved to Coxhoe when I got married, and have been there more or less ever since (small spell in Doncaster with the ex about 30 years ago!!)

Where the largest quarry is, used to be fields and when I was 15-16, I'd take my two little nephews, then 5 and 8, through those fields and across the road and beyond to the main line of the London to Edinburgh railway! We'd walk down there and just sit watching them pass, we can only have been feet away from the tracks!! That's the 70s for ya!!

I've just been looking on google maps and I moved slightly to the right and blimey there was the sea
