Good Morning Saturday

Postby JanB » 04 Jul 2020, 07:19

Morning everyone

Warm already and we're in for quite a few very warm days 8-)

Watering done, all the plants, so took about an hour  and Grumpy is now staining the garden bench he's made for Fatima. I'll do the housework after breakfast, and hopefully Grumpy will repair the vacuum cleaner hose. It keeps breaking off. I'm thinking about getting a new one anyway, we've had that since we moved here and it got wet when we got flooded

A swim and a float in the pool this afternoon.

have a good day everyone, whatever you're doing x

Morning Jan and all, it’s dry and dull here.

We’ll walk Bill on Hednesford Hills once John’s finished his breakfast and that’s about it as far as plans go for today. Joe’s off to Amanda’s shortly and Shannon’s coming here for the day.

I placed an IKEA order last night for a new single mattress for the bed in the spare room, so that and a few other bits will be coming in two weeks. Everything I ordered is in stock at the store nearby and although I love a walk around there I don’t fancy going just yet.

Have a good day all :)

Morning all, it’s very dull here and not forecast to be much better. Absolutely no plan for the day, pottering about, pay a couple of bills online, probably a walk, that’s about it.

Good morning all :)

We're out! Sitting outside a quiet Corretto's having a cuppa. We've been very cautious - the car park was very quiet, walking through the Quays still quiet, we were going to turn back if it hadn't been. Really enjoying this, despite wearing a coat in July! The weather is probably a blessing - fewer people 8-)

Enjoy your day everyone :) xx

Yes Kaz I think the weather will calm people down a bit today. We have three pubs in the village and two of them show no sign of re-opening. Indeed one of them has had the windows boarded up.
Grey here too but a bit warmer. Daughter has sent us some piccies of their holiday in Northumberland. Eliza seems to be loving it. So will Dobby the dog when he gets on those big open beaches up there.
Very quiet here. I don't know how long for though. Visitors to the hedge owners across the road have now started using Sergio's drive to turn around in. He is very upset about it. Your friends, you don't mind. But not them.
MrsC at her dad's, sister in law at her boyfriends.
Tonight a bottle of healthy red wine from Madiran in France.
Have a good day all.

Morning all :D

Dull, overcast and windy.

Our local pub waited until lunch time to open. They don't attract young drinkers, it's mainly older peeps wanting a nice meal. Goodness knows what it will be like down at the harbour later this evening!!

Not sure what we're doing today, nothing's planned so probably not a lot

Hope you all have a good day, stay safe xx

Kaz I have been out this morng too - a walk followed by a cherry and almond scone and a latte sitting outdoors at the Secret Garden cafe - it wasn't busy and felt almost normal again :)

Crommers whereabouts is your daughter in Northumberland? The beaches are amazing, so clean and vast!

It's been a strange day weather wise, cloudy but quite warm - I walked in just a sleeveless top (and trousers of course!) most of the way - did just over 12k steps so quite happy.

Then this afternoon/evening I have been catching up on my little box of Mad Men 8-) Fab stuff!!!

Have a good rest of evening xx
