There's an old fashioned sweet shop in Whitby (on Sandgate) that sells all the old sweets. It does well. The mini jelly babies are my favourite. :)

Oh yummy, today's children don't know what they're missing. I particularly like kop kops and aniseed twists.

Hmm, a bit hard to describe.

The have a hard shell with a gooey centre and are sort of liquorice flavoured with a hint of aniseed and herbs. Not quite as strong as a cough drop, but sort of similar .... or nothing like. ;) :lol: :lol:

IIRC, there is a large old-fashioned sweet-shop in the Great Western Arcade (running between Snow Hill Station and the big House of Frazer store, near the Cathedral in central Birmingham), which is handily placed for the 2020 Meet if it goes ahead ..... ;)
