Good morning Tuesday

Postby meriad » 07 Jul 2020, 05:11

Good morning all

I'm up stupid early; woke at 4 and couldn't get back to a proper sleep so figured I may as well get up and do a few things around the house. Also need to water the plants before I head to work. Off to London later this morning (avoiding rush / peak travel as it's cheaper :D ) Will spend a few hours at the office and then back home.

Never did get that hedge sorted yesterday - just not in the mood and the wind was cold etc etc.... so maybe I'll get a bit of a start this evening, depending on weather and time.

So not much exciting to report this end - have a lovely day all xx

Good morning.

Scorchio. 8-)

I'm back from a run having left just after 6 to avoid the heat. It's reading 24 at 7.10am.

A swim then planning to be really lazy and read by the pool in the shade.

I've got last Friday's 2 Masterchefs to catch up on. :D

How is D today Kaz? X

Have a great day.

ETA....you posted as I was typing Ria so I merged us. :D Good morning and have a lovely day. :D

Morning you lot and everyone

Rather warm here too, and getting hotter later 8-)

Watered the new plants and now having a coffee.

Will make favas later, for tomorrow and also prep for tonight's stir-fry.

Pool and reading. Nothing else you can do in this heat. Feel for those bombeiros, fighting that big fire.

Have as good a day as you can everyone, whatever you're doing xx

Going against the flow, I've had the best night's sleep for months. If Ally or Jan could send us just a little bit of heat it would be appreciated. Good luck if you decide to take on the hedge Ria.
MrsC and her sis have done a B & M run and will shortly be going to their dad's place - and it will be hopefully one of their last visits.
The covid test result is back for their father and it is a negative, so we can look at progressing getting FiL into the good care home. This is going to be such a relief for MrsC and her sister, I can't tell you. The lady from the care home will come out to take a look at him and if she gives the OK then it is green for go.
So, have a good day all.

Morning all :D

Bit changeable here, one minute sunny the next overcast, but no wind which makes a nice change.

Great news Crommers, hope the visit goes well.

I have a hair appointment at 2pm. I really need a good cut, but I'm a bit nervous about it, Jo has two salons, a big one and a very tiny shop in town where I've been going for about a year now. When she booked me in it was for the small one and it was to be just her and me, that's changed and she's opening the big one today. She says it will only be her and her daughter working. There's enough room so it shouldn't be a problem, but from past experience it can get truly manic there. Providing she sticks to the rules fine, but if she lets friends walk in willy nilly as she has in the past I'll want to leave, a bit difficult if I'm sat with colour in my hair!!! Oh well fingers crossed............

Hope you all have a good day, stay safe xx

Jen, just make sure before you start that Jo knows exactly how anxious you are; and if she cannot promise that it will be just you, her and her daughter then leave. She cannot just let people walk in, not now
