what was the mix of your weed killer please?

1 gallon of water or 4 and a half litres of vinegar. One mug of salt and a splash of washing up liquid.

Spray and they should die fairly quickly. Some need a couple of goes. But salt on it's own works just as well.

Bear in mind that salt kills the earth, so don't expect anything else to grow there.

Vic, just to say .... I brought the recipe home from Jan having seen her use it and I do the vinegar, salt and wash-up liquid version and can confirm that it does work.

Jan makes it in industrial quantities but I find that a bottle of spirit vinegar, couple of tablespoons of salt and a good splash of Fairy in a spray bottle makes a good target spray.
