Good morning Tuesday

Postby Ally » 14 Jul 2020, 05:09

Good morning.

Hot.

The day will mostly be spent in or next to the pool. I have perfected rolling off my lounger right into the water.

My neighbour came round last night with a freshly made cheese and onion quiche so that's dinner sorted for tonight. :D

Have a great day.

Morning Ally, morning all

Well hot certainly is not a word I'd use for here today.... damp, grey, miserable and just pants!

Ally, quiche sounds yummy and thinking about it I have all the ingredients here to make a crustless one; so may just do that - yum!
Enjoy the day by the pool, I am rather jealous

Didn't get anything done in the garden yesterday - work was surprisingly busy and I was at my computer all day. Today because it's not outside weather; I'm going to try sort through the lounge; it's been used as a dumping ground whilst the kitchen work was going on so now need just get my head around what I want to keep and what I don't. I'm hoping the hippo bag will be collected today, then I can get another one in; so much rubbish that just needs to be thrown away and my bins can only take so much and no more. Doesn't help that I'm the kind of person, once I decide to clear out then I'm quite ruthless and need somewhere to throw things away there and then; otherwise I end up putting things on the side "to be thrown away later" and they just end up staying there forever and a day.

Well have a lovely day everyone, enjoy whatever it is you're up to x

Morning Ally, Ria and everyone

Warm already and will only get warmer 8-)

Will be thinking of you today Crommers, hope all goes well. Start your new life tomorrow, guilt free :D

Big fire near Castro Verde yesterday and we are having a bad year for bombeiros dying, that's the second one in a couple of days  with quite a few injured

I have a rather large courgette to make soup with, and will add a load of other veg.

I'm buying a quiche tomorrow, rather than making one

Pool, read, pool, read, pool today.

Have a good day everyone, whatever you're doing xx

Good morning all, it’s dull and breezy here. The sun does keep trying though.

I’ve walked Bill and once home I stripped Tom and Joe’s beds and got that washing done and cleaned the bathrooms. I’ll have a hoover around shortly.

John worried me last night. He went out for a run and said he’d do about 5 miles. By 10 o’clock he still hadn’t come home and it was dark, and I knew he’d be running on the Chase and obviously wouldn’t have lights with him like he would if he went on a bike ride. A few minutes later he came through the gate, I was in the kitchen and saw him check his phone and then run off again. He was back around 10 minutes later.
What had happened was that he’d got home, checked the mileage on his phone, saw that he’d run 12 miles so decided to go a bit further to run a half marathon, he actually did a bit more and ran 13.5 miles in 2hrs 2 minutes

Thinking of Crommers and the family today, I hope all goes smoothly x

You’ve got an exciting day then Saundra :D

Have a good day all x

Morning all :D

Rain overnight and more promised, but it's nice and dry at the moment.

Hope things go as smoothly as possible today Crommers, always an emotional time xx

Enjoy your haircut Saundra.

Nothing much happening here. Was thinking it would be nice to have a little walk along the clifftop, but that will have to wait, E's been extra sore the last few days. Will probably potter a bit and then get stuck into another book.

Hope you all have a good day, stay safe xx

Ally, I love quiche! xxx

Ria, hope you get all of your sorting done! I can be a bit like that with a clearout - all or nothing!  xxx

That pool sounds good Jan  :D xxx

All the very best to Crommers and family today xxx

Yayyy Saundra, enjoy!! :Hi:

Blimey Jo, well done him but it must have been a worry! xxx

I hope E feels better soon Jen xxx

Another busy morning here, a Zumba class then out to see D via the Co-op. Spent lunchtime with her, and have not long got home. My washing is dry, so I might get it ironed in a bit, or it might wait until tomorrow ;)

Love to all :) xx

Well, not sure I'd say I got anything done that you can see as such  but I have gone through the boxes and taken photos of the stuff that's destined for car boot sale and put it on some FB selling pages to see if I can sell / give it away there first. For now, it's back in a box, but neater so easier to store for now.

The stuff to be donated is in another box, but I need to find a charity shop that's open and taking in goods. I suspect they will be inundated with stuff at the moment; fairly certain many people used lockdown as time to sort through their cupboards ;-)

Crommers, how are you all doing? Please tell Mrs C that we're all thinking of her (and you of course, but esp Mrs C)

Thanks for all the good wishes. :)
Yes, FiL has been taken to the care home this afternoon. It has all happened in a bit of a rush but it's done.
We have to clear the house and various other bits and bobs (stopping Sky, the telephone, final readings etc) but the main bit is done.
MrsC and her sister have gone above and beyond the call of duty but it couldn't go on.
When everything is squared away we are going to book a few days in a cottage and get lots of fresh air. :)
