Good afternoon everybody.

An early start as we went to have a pedicure this morning. It is a salon where we have been going for about 20 years. While the lock down has been in force the lady who owns and operates it has had it revamped while lockdown has been on. We were the first customers this morning at 9.00 a.m. We could both be in the salon at the same time as we live together. It also meant that she could wear the same plastic apron while she was attending to use.
We asked where her husband was as he is a sergeant in the police. Told us he had stayed overnight with his father. He has cancer and had had anopertaion on one of his legs. This had gone wrong and he now has gangrene to add to his problems. She still manages to be cheerful but looked tired.
We have booked more appointments including one just before Christmas.
Went to Aldi before going home for lunch. This afternoon have finished weeding the back garden. It should look good when I get some more perrenia;plants which shoul be delivered soon.
Will relax this evening.
There have been some clouds about but it has been warm in the sun--but not chip pan temperature.

Afternoon everyone!

It's been a beautiful day here today - so I could FINALLY get my holiday washing all dried on the line (I don't like using the TD in summer). I had a lie in and watched a couple of eps of Mad Men while I had breakfast....once dressed I ironed and hung up some silver/grey curtains that I'd ordered for Jen's old room (you may remember I started decorating this room in October 2019!!) then Tom came back from a spell helping out at the farm and we had a drive down to Seaton Carew and stood in a queue for fish and chips for FORTY MINUTES!!  SD of course.....we must have been REALLY fancying some to have waited so long - there are a number of f&c places at Seaton but our queue was the fastest moving - the one across the road was snaking round and round and didn't seem to move at all. We sat on a bench to eat them and then home.

Got a fright last night - I got a notification from PayPal alerting me that I'd paid £34.99 to River Island. I most definitely did not - so I got all flummoxed trying to sort it out, my mouth was dry and I couldn't think of the words...I even rang Jen (she'd have been panicking as I only ring her in emergencies!) to ask her advice. I requested a query from PP to refund me as I assured them it wasn't authorised, immediately they replied to say it was :( And then I spotted another email from Avast, my software AV, apparently I had signed up for 60 days free upgrade after which they'd charge me.....under the name of Digital River Island  And it was this, which with being away I had completely forgotten about!! I requested a refund from Avast, and it has gone back into my PP account right away! Phew!!!!   That'll teach me!!

Have a good evening all xxx
