Good morning.

Hot.

Walk, swim, finding shade and keeping out of the sun.

Have a great day.

Morning Ally, morning everyone

Warm already and although it will get hot, it's not going to be quite as hot. The whole country has been banned from doing any work outside, as many fires have started with tractors starting fires from their heat, bbq's etc. Huge fire up north, started by a farm worker, by accident. Several injured bombeiros and yet another one has died. So very sad that we have to go through this each year.

Watering already done, washing machine on and after a coffee we're going to attack the ice plant on the bank by the pool. We have sheep at the moment and they love this, so that will be their treat this morning. Will cover ourselves with anti-mozz, as they like to hide, little buggers :cute:

Will be heading for the pool after that and then breakfast. Then another lazy ish day.

Have a good day everyone, whatever you're doing xx

Morning you two, morning everyone

No way can I use the word hot to describe our weather - damp, grey, wet, rain, thunder, 16 degrees
A stay inside and tidy kind of day; at least not a total waste

Jan, that is so sad about the bombeiro - as you say, every year it's the same; people just don't learn? :(

Today is the start of chicken worming week, oh dear. Usually they have a treat in the morning (fresh veg, corn or something) but with the worming they're not meant to have anything to eat besides the medicated food. Well, let's just say that they're not impressed and are letting me (and the neighbourhood) know about it. But lesson learned - once this week is over and hopefully they'll be sort of used to no early treat I'll keep that up and only give them a treat later in the day so they don't start making this unholy racket because they're expecting food!

Oh dear :D

Have a lovely day all x

No heat to avoid here Ally

Jan, that's very sad :(

Ria, the noisy chickens made me giggle

Same weather here as Ria's, so indoors things today, some ironing and cleaning I suppose :cute: Will try to fit in a walk at some point, if the weather permits :?

Have a good day everyone :) xxx

We've had several deaths this year, one lad was in his late 20's and had been a father for four days  The last one to die was only 20.

Ice plant cut back, happy sheep :Hi:

Whoops Ria

Morning all, we woke to rain but it has cleared up now although I am hesitant about hanging out washing. I am having a manicure/pedicure in the local nail bar at 1pm, it was a special offer so it would have been rude not to ;) They opened shortly before the lockdown and of course had to close again, so I’m trying to support them now that they have reopened. Miss Osc is coming up from Wicklow today for some meetings so hopefully she will pop in to say hello. Just about to do some ironing before I go out.

Hi all - work again for me today....just as I was getting used to furlough!!!  I know I always look on the negative side, but honestly, you'd think a nice new - big - shop would be much better than the last one, but I'm struggling to find things, one range of frames has completely disappeared (and they're popular!), us staff have been squashed into the littlest space, yet we have a huge waiting area....poor Yvonne faces the back wall and she literally has the width of her body for desk space, and that has to have the keyboard  Also we are now using internet phones, and since the move, the fax machine doesn't work (we did have internet phones before the move so *shrug*) nor does the ticket labeller, the printer settings have to be changed for every different document (so it might print an A4 form on the till receipt printer if not checked and changed. Also, two phones are a brill idea if there are two staff in, but there's just me today and it was constant, and both together!! Aaaargh!!!

Remind me why I want to retire!! That's not going into the new ways of dispensing, all the Covid stuff we have to do etc etc.......sigh.

OK - rain much of the day - then the sun came out around 4pm, as did the wind!! July!!??? It's my friend Anne's 60th today so I hope she's had a good one.

Normal service will be resumed tomorrow - sorry for the rant
