A journey for learning to knit?! Talk about purls of wisdom... (sorry!)

Twice rcently I have seen a hedgehog. One a few nights ago when I was drawing the curtains before going to bed, and there it was slowly crossing our front lawn. Then again in the middle of the afternoon on Tuesday. Previous to that, I hadn't seen one for years.

I don't see the 'hogs about but that is because there are too many children on the green during the day. I know they are there, though, as they take the nibbles and water I put out for them in their den.

The foxes are a different matter. They have become very confident with the streets being quiet and are out and about from late afternoon on most days. They all look in good shape as well.

I have just seen that the travel company Becky was working for in New Zealand, STA, has ceased trading - it's gone.

Thousands upon thousands of students used it to sort out their long-haul gap year itineraries for their travels. I am not sure that there is anything quite like it to take up the slack.

Yes, the travel industry has taken a huge knock and I'm not sure they'll ever really recover from it. The overheads are just too high to not have every single available plane in the sky fully booked. Flights now will be as rare as hens teeth and the cost will probably be extortionate

Crommers, if you can put out shallow bowls of water for it and also some dry cat or dog food; just a hand full or two so it's all eaten and with time you may get more hedgehogs. I have quite a few in my garden and they're such fun to watch :D

Fruit and veg shelves almost empty in Asda, especially spuds and other root vegetables, supply problems apparently.

Anywhere else got this?
