Good morning Thursday

Postby Ally » 13 Aug 2020, 05:05

Good morning.

Really nice weather wise.

Off for my morning 10km walk. It's so lush and green round here and a real pleasure to explore.

Us 3 Musketeers are picking up aunt Jean at 12.30 and we're going to a garden centre for a mooch round and lunch. :D

After we take her home we're dropping in to visit my uncle Robert. He was 78 the other day so we'll take him a cake. :)

The twins are going to dadsit  Don this weekend making sure he's fed and watered.
As temps are in the high 40s I'm very happy with the mini heatwave heat here. :D

Have a good day everyone.

Good morning Ally & anybody else who is up.

More rain thunder and lightning in the night.
The sun is out and it is getting hot again. Just pootling this morning. Going shopping this afternoon.
Visits to Boots for a new shaver orderd online, Asda to dump plastic bags, Screwfix to pick up some electrical bits, get two bolts from an engineering supply firm.
Then Tesco for Lime cordial and coffee.
Finally take two parcels which we are sending by Hermes. Cheaper and quicker than Royal mail.
Home for a coffee and will try to relax but difficult in the heat.
Have a good day everybody.

Morning Ally, Cruiser and everyone

Lovely morning 8-)

Watering done and I'm gravel shifting after breakfast - maybe some before too. We have about 2 ton leftover so will sprinkle it around where needed.

Off to Aljustrel this afternoon, for the final test. On our way back will stop at the drogaria as they have some little bbq's, which are ideal for a quick bbq :D And pop into Pingo to collect the bits I forgot on Tuesday

Pit stop at the bar on the way back :D

Have a good day everyone, whatever you're doing xx

What kind twins Ally! Well done to them on the dad sitting! Cruiser, we have no sun at all but it is supposed to warm up later. Jan, I do like the sound of your day. Especially the pit stop.
In a while I'm off to get a paper and pay a cheque into the bank. This afternoon MrsC is babysitting Eliza whilst her mum works and her dad gets his hair cut. Salad for tea seems to be a sensible idea today.
Have a lovely day all.

Morning all :D

Hot, hot, hot 8-)

The car was fixed yesterday, our lovely neighbour ran me back and forth. The £186 bill wasn't too painful, it could have been a lot worse. I've booked it in with the same chap for an MOT next Wednesday.

Doing absolutely nothing today, the garden and my kindle will be more than enough.

Hope you all have a good day, stay safe xx

Afternoon all :)

Ally, I love a garden centre mooch and lunch 8-) :) xx

Hope you get all your stuff done Cruiser :) xx

You too Jan :) xx

Will Eliza come to you, Crommers, or does MrsC go there? xx

That's not too bad then, re the car Jen :) xx

After the torrential storm last night it rained on and off, so the garden looks considerably greener already - if a bit windswept ;) It was blissfully cool when I walked up to D's this morning, but by the time we drove to Sainsbury's it was hammering down, and it's still raining steadily! It's a big relief from the humidity though 8-)

Mick's giving B a lift for her afternoon shift as H is on leave. Peace and quiet to get on with my ironing

Have a good afternoon everyone :) xx

Good evening everybody.

Managed to get all the calls this afternoon. Had to wait about ten minutes to go into the engineers supply company. It is always busy and they were only allowing two people at the counter.
AS we were driving into our crescent, we saw lady who lives at the top. walking down. We stopped to ask how she was as she is a widow and has had a hip replacement like my wife. She said she was going for a walk. So we said call at our house when she is coming home.
We had nearly two hours chatting in our lounge. As she likes whisky I gave her a good shot of one of my good ones. Her visit realy cheered her up.
We were keeping two metres apart.
A very enjoyable end to the afternoon.

Blasted waste of time, petrol

Takes about 45 minutes to drive to Aljustrel for the clinic there. I was in and out in 10 minutes - all fine and dandy  Cost me 1.50 to have the report sent, rather than having to go back up there.

But got the bbq, so will be trying it out on Sunday and Marco is going to look out for a steamer for me :Hi:

And a house down the road sold, to a Dutch couple, so that's more foreigners

Just boiling spuds for dinner - I do miss my steamer ;)
