I give up!

Postby JoM » 14 Aug 2020, 15:11

Well, obviously I won’t but some people really are dim aren’t they?

I went into the little shopping centre today. It’s a quicker way through to Home Bargains which is where I needed to go and with the very popular street market in town I figured it’d be quieter and easier to avoid people. Ha!

I walked in onto the top floor so had to go down a floor to get to the exit nearest to Home Bargains. The escalator was out of order and there was a queue for the lift (which I wouldn’t have used anyway) so I went to go down the stairs, which you have to go through two doors to get to. I opened one door, went through and as I pushed open the other with my backside so as to not touch it, a woman who I’d say would be around 80 and had just come out of the stairwell, rushed ahead and pushed straight past me. She had no mask on and was so close that she brushed against me as she went through.

She got a mouthful from me about social distancing

 Really annoying! You know, everyone goes on about youngsters not social distancing, but the worst behaviour I witness in the shops is definitely older people :? Xx

Totally agree Kaz, I was talking to a friend about this yesterday. She's a receptionist at a dental practice and she also says the older the patient the less 'compliant' they are and give her grief about the rules and regulations they have in place.

All I would say is that neither age nor status has influenced some of the crass behaviour I've witnessed since this whole fiasco began .... :|
