Good Morning Tuesday

Postby JanB » 15 Sep 2020, 05:04

Morning everyone

Dark still, but warm ish. Warming up again later 8-)

Up a little earlier than normal, blame the mozz   Got me twice before I woke up, so we decamped to another room, but then neither of us could go back to sleep

I have the pleasure of cleaning the chip pan later, as well as ironing. Two of my favourite occupations

Bide a casa for dinner - now that is a favourite :D

Hope our patient had a good night and there is good news x

Have a good day everyone, whatever you're doing xx

Morning Jan and Saundra, morning all

Jan, mosquitoes really can ruin a good nights sleep, never mind the bite and itch, but it's the noise they make; you just can't ignore that. Don't overdo the hw stuff :D
Saundra, the rises were bound to happen; it's countrywide. Not only schools going back and the kids (and their parents!!!!) not observing social distancing, but generally people all over not observing the social distancing bit. I honestly just don't get it - if you can't keep 2m distance; wear a mask; it really isn't rocket science. But some people just don't give a toss about others.
Hoping for a good news update from Jen today :)

Woke up to blue skies but now it's gone all misty. But once that clears it's looking to get to about 30 degrees here today. I've taken the day sort of off; meeting up with Nadine and two friends (well Nadines' cousin and her husband, now also my friends :D ) at a local pub. They have a lovely outside space by a canal so we can just sit and relax. They are always very popular so I'll aim to get there for 11.45 and hopefully be able to nab a table; may need to go even earlier. I'll have my laptop and phone with me so can easily work from there whilst I wait for the others who will get there for 12.

A bit of a sad day yesterday. A friend of mine S has a friend L. On Sunday S received a call from L's son asking if S knew where L might be as he's been trying all day to reach her. S then started trying as well with no joy so the son called the police. Monday morning they had to call the police again because they still hadn't been able to get hold of L.... so police eventually went round (not sure why they didn't on the Sunday?) and found L on the sofa; she'd passed away; she was only 44. We don't know what happened but the son was told that L was on the sofa and it looked like it had been peaceful. The son is 22 and is understandably devastated. He lives here in London with his gran because of his work, so thankfully has someone but still. Just makes you realise that life is so precious, so remember to tell those close to you that you love them and give them a hug if you can

Now warming up nicely 8-)

Good morning everybody.

Thin clouds and not as warm as yesterday.
Went to have abllod sample taken this morning. Have to make an appointment. You have your temperature taken before you can neter the building where
the clinic is held. Good system as you only have to go a few minutes before the appointment time. Also plenty of spaces on car park.
Just mouching today. Will do some gardening as the weeds are growing again.
Mrs. e is having a phone consltation with a physiotherapist this aftenoon.
Have a good day everybody.

Morning all :D

Another bright sunny day 8-)

E did the hospital tour and went for his angiogram yesterday afternoon. The chap who did it was very pleased, but E didn't take it all in properly so the team will be explaining it to him sometime today. He's now in the coronary care unit and has had a reasonably good night, bit noisy though. One old chap keeps coughing, the full on choking type, E says it gets worse when he wants attention. Another one snores heavily and the coughing man kept exclaiming 'oh God'. Another one wanders round in just his disposable pants!! He's obviously feeling a lot better and luckily can see the funny side of it all, he made me giggle, sounds completely mad

Can't believe he's been away 2 weeks now. Today's plan is to start giving the house an extra good clean, feeling hopeful I'll have him home soon.

Hope you all have a good day xx

Good evening, it’s gone so dull and humid here. It’s almost as if there’s a storm on the way although there isn’t one forecast.

Dare I say that I think the decorating is done? I thought it was done yesterday but then John got up today and decided to empty the understairs cupboard on the middle floor and paint in there. I’m now waiting for the gloss to dry so that I can clear the landing again. I’ve shampooed the carpets so everywhere is nice and fresh, I did the sofa in the downstairs living room too.

Jan, we’ve had a huge problem with biting insects in this area this year. Apparently A&E at Stafford have had a lot of people going there with problematic bites. For the last six weeks I’ve been bitten on a weekly basis and once I’ve breathed a sigh of relief at the itching stopping I’ve been bitten again a couple of days later, I react badly to bites and nothing soothes them apart from ice packs so it’s been quite miserable.

Enjoy the rest of the day all x
