Good Morning Wednesday

Postby JanB » 16 Sep 2020, 06:54

Morning everyone

Cool this morning and a bit cloudy. We're in for a few wet days :Hi: :Hi:

Off to Ourique after breakfast, for our normal runaround. A mini runaround this morning. Nelson for salt for the pool, library and Pingo. Pit stop at the bar on the way back. Will affix one of our new labels - thanks to Ria x - and then back to do not a lot.

Should be warm enough for a swim later and we're having a bbq for dinner.

Hope to hear good news about our star patient x

Have a good day everyone, whatever you're doing xx

Morning all.
It is cool here too Jan but I doubt that it will warm up enough for a swim later!
Kevin is coming to have a look at our shower today, MrsC has gone to the hairdressers.
We had Eliza yesterday so that was as full on as ever, bless her.
Fish pie later and we may be going to Dunelm in a bit looking at reading lamps.
Hope E is on the up.
Have a good day all.

Morning all :D

Another bright and sunny day, roasting too.

Good news abut E's angio. No damage, there's a tiny bit of coating in one of the arteries, not enough to worry about, the others are completely free. The chap who did it talked about a massive secretion of an enzyme being the major cause of the arrest, E didn't really understand it all, apparently he's an anomaly, I could have told them that lol.

He was suddenly moved from the coronary unit late last night, the bed was needed. Only 6 of them in the new ward, oh and much quieter, no coughing and snoring so he had a good night. I've spoken to him a few times already, he's getting a bit bored and fed up, looking on the bright side it's a good sign he's feeling a lot better. The last call was cut short when physio arrived, fingers tightly crossed they soon get him moving enough to come home, today's the start of week three :o

I gave the bungalow a good going over with the hoover yesterday, exhausting, I've hardly touched a hoover for over 20 years, a definite shock to my system  As for emptying the bins, I've not done that for almost 50 years!! I know, I know, I'm thoroughly spoilt  It's the steam cleaner today.

Hope you all have a good day xx

Good news Jen :Hi: :Hi:

Found out a bit more about the outbreak in Santa Luzia - which is a bit too close for comfort. One of the staff at the old people's home went to a festa a couple of weeks ago and has brought it into the home and has also infected members of her family. A total of 26 so far   Honestly, why that festa went ahead, I have no idea, most people wanted it not to go ahead.

So everyone was being extra good about distancing and cleaning in the supermarket and most people walking around in Ourique also had masks on. The bar has to shut at 8.00pm and we are not allowed to drink alcohol outside. Which is stupid, as there are now only 3 tables in there for use, as it's so small. Chatting to Fernando when we had a coffee, he said the best thing the bar can do is to shut completely so that we can keep the visitors out.

I told Odette we wouldn't be around, as we're staying in our house until we need to go shopping again.

Still cloudy but should be abkle to get in the pool later - will probably have to run once I'm out, the wind is cool

Hi everyone :)

Jen that's such good news! :D Not so good about having to do your own hoovering though ;) I hope E's home very soon :) xxx

Jan, take care, you're very sensible so I'm sure you'll be fine 8-) xxx

Crommers, I like Dunelm 8-) xxx

((((Saundra)))) hugs. Hope your neighbour is ok xxx

I've been baking! A chocolate cake for D's 84th birthday , - we're going round later for a fish and chip takeaway supper, her choice as she'd understandably rather not eat out at the moment. Nick's youngest brother and his wife are up from Somerset, so we'll just squeeze under the new 6 person rule ;)

Enjoy the rest of your day :) xxx

hello all

College drop off for Thomas this morning and picking up Amelia from school today - and same again Friday. Went past Lidl in Camberley after dropping off Thomas as they have Alpine week at the moment (last day today) and I wanted to see if they had anything left which they didn't really. So going to leave a bit earlier today and go past the Lidl further up the road from me before collecting Amelia. Should have grabbed more stuff when I was there over the weekend, but I didn't think! Oh well, won't be a totally wasted trip as I can buy more tonic water when there - 22p a bottle vs 50 or 60p for store own brand in the larger supermarkets

Jen, so glad E has been moved to a quieter ward and I really hope you have him home soon. x
Saundra, also hope the neighbour is OK

Jan, with all due respect - that woman should have self isolated after the festa, esp given where she works; that was just a totally mad and daft thing to have done. I do hope that everything is controlled soon. Poor Jose and Odette, it's a tough enough life for them as it is without the additional restrictions

Take care everyone x
