Morning everyone

Grey and windy this morning with rain forecast :Hi: :Hi: Not warm at 20C either

Will get some of the cleaning out of the way first thing, then we're off visiting some new neighbours, taking a plant and a bottle of wine as house-warming pressies :D They've moved into Pieter's old house and we et them when they bought it in July. Lovely couple. so will enjoy our chat.

Might pop into Ourique A as we're out. so Grumpy can get some more silicone, to sort out the window.

Other than that, not doing a lot.

Hope E had a good night and you get some news soon Jen xx

Have a good day everyone, whatever you're doing xx

Good morning Jan and all, it’s a windy one here but not yet raining. That’ll come later.

I’ve walked Bill and now I’m waiting for someone to come to change our meters. We’re going to have smart meters, so I can show the kids how much leaving lights on costs - rather than shouting that it’s like Blackpool in here

It must be a day for new neighbours Jan. I’ve come back with Bill to see removal vans at the house over the road. Sad to see, they’re a lovely couple but sadly the lady has Alzheimer’s and is now in a care home :( They’re only in their 60s and were looking forward to retiring here. It’s so cruel.

Have a good day all xx

Morning all, dreadful rain during the night, it woke me a few times. Sun and cloud now, and fairly windy. Edward has gone to play golf, he was rather surprised that the course is open. I’m meeting friends for coffee at 11am but as it’s at the pub next door I have plenty of time to get there  When I get back, I’ll do some of the ironing and we’ll order in tonight’s dinner.

Morning all :D

Very wet and very windy here.

That's so sad Jo.

Only had a quick chat with E this morning, his brekkie arrived and I've been in the shower. Expect he'll be calling again soon. A new chap was admitted in the middle of the night, probably an accident, so sleep was a bit interrupted but he managed to get off again. Even with things like that, this ward is so much more peaceful than the last one.

Washing day for me, obviously not as much without E's clothes. Also plan to give the house a good clean. After all that activity I'll probably collapse with my kindle

Hope you all have a good day xx

A lovely few hours, chatting away and helping them with certain authorities and advice generally. Wish we'd had some-one like us, when we first moved

We were then very naughty and stopped at the bar to check the post and somehow or other, ended up having a couple of beers

Blowing a blasted hooley, been wet, hot, but always windy

Nothing else planned for the day ;)

Afternoon everyone :)

Jan, glad you have nice new neighbours :) xx

You sound like Mick, Jo - he's always switching lights off after me ;)  That's sad, about your neighbours :( xx

Heavy rain here too, Osc and Vic! :cute: xx

I'm glad E's ward is more peaceful Jen xx

Pouring rain here, but I've been out in it! Walked to town for a couple of bits, and the exercise. Popped in to see D, who's feeling a bit under the weather :( Since getting home I've done some cleaning, and hoovered all round. No point steaming the floors, the dogs tread in too much Mick on wet days  ;)

Love to all xxx

Good afternoon everybody.

Another busy day like yesterday.
Had an email on Tuesday afternoon to say the three plastic fence panels I had ordered would be delivered on Wednesday morning. So after breakfast, I removed the existing wooden panels. They are rotting and needed replacing. Not much diifference between new wooden ones and the plastic ones. They were delivered
at 10.30 a.m. Just had to slide them in to the existing concrete posts. They look very posh. Took an hour to remove the protective tape.
After lunch spent two hours dismantling two of the panels before throwing them over the fence to one of our neighbours who has a wood burning stove.

This morning went shopping. First stop at Aldi. The store has been altered and we only bought four items. Then to Morrisons and finally to Tesco.
It was lunch time when we got home. Have broken up the last panel before giving it to our neighbours.
Hope to have a relaxing evening
Have a good day everybody.

After a fabulous sunny (and almost warm!) day yesterday, today is cloudier and cool. I don't like this time of year at all - you can keep your cold and your early darkness - give me long warm summer evenings any day!! 8-) :D

Tom is now off Fridays, today he has been to play golf - I went to Arnison (seems to be my second home lately) but literally ONLY went for a latte at Next and then shopping at Lidl, before coming home, I have spent quite enough this week! (£83 for the car Tuesday, and over £100 on my credit card bill  )

I had a mini brainwave and brought my egg chair into the conservatory for the winter. Not sure if it'll work, it is pretty large....but we'll see. I've also upended the outdoor rattan sofas with a view to perhaps getting a tarpaulin or something to put over to keep them dry-ish. Cleaned round in the conservatory too and sorted out my next 2 weeks tablets - not a bad day! Yesterday I put my summer stuff into vacuum bags in the loft and brought down my winter stuff....

Charlie acting strangely....might put a new thread up rather than clogging up this one.

We have tight local lockdown here....I'm soo disappointed not to be able to take my sister out for a catch up coffee - can't even go and visit her! Back to almost full lockdown status here, we're planning a Facetime sometime soon. Better than nothing but not brilliant.

Hope D is feeling better soon Kaz x

Glad the news from E is better Jen - any news of when he might be allowed to come home?
