Morning Ally, morning everyone

Dull and grey start again  Hotting up later this week :Hi: 8-)

Taken me half an hour to get this blasted interweb up and running again this morning

Off to Aljustrel after breakfast as Grumpy is to have a 24 hour heart monitor fitted. It's not a bad run, but have to be there even earlier tomorrow, to take it off and then back up there again later in the month as he has an ecg appointment, I did ask for the ecg for tomorrow, save us going back up, but the doctor is away

Not sure what I'll be doing when we get back, but Grumpy has some wood to play with. Jan wants a small hen house made, so we picked up a load of wood there yesterday and that's him sorted for a few days

Hope E is okay this morning and not quite so tired. How are you diong Jen? Getting everything sorted with his gp?

Grumpy said to thank you all for his birthday wishes, he's having a week of his favourite dinners, so pork tenderloin tonight 8-)

Have as good a day as you can everyone xx

Good morning all, it’s quite sunny at the moment after what pretty much seems like non-stop rain for the last four days. There’s more forecast for today though.

Bill’s had a long walk, we tried yesterday morning but after 5 minutes it started to pour down and he turned around and started heading for home  We took him around the village last night but it’s not the same for him as walking off lead and being able to be a proper dog.
I went for a run around the village once we’d got back.

Jan, I hope all goes well!

Love the sound of a Thai feast Al :D

Have a good day all!

He's all wired up like heaven knows what

There has been a lot of tree felling on he road from Castro to Aljustrel. About time too, as most of them were burnt in the big fire earlier in the year. AMazing to see how the fields have recovered.

Back up there again tomorrow, for 9.00, so he can be unwired

He's off playing with wood, I'm going to do some weeding.

Intelligent dog, your Billy ;) Jo 8-)

Morning all, it looks fairly ok out there, although damp. Edward has gone to play golf. I’ll go for a walk in a while, down by the harbour so I can buy some fish. Back to some ironing - maybe ;) Hope Jen and E have had a good night.

Morning all :D

Rain first thing, bright and sunny now 8-)

I love Thai food Ally, lucky you to have a resident chef, I wouldn't know where to start.
Hope all goes well today Jan.

The hospital discharge was a complete shambles, they sent E home with no follow up information about his knee stitches coming out and with meds that weren't listed and had no usage instructions. I rang them over the weekend and they seemed to think he would be popping into clinic today, but they hadn't given him an appointment!! As I say a complete shambles, nobody had considered that a 5hr round trip for half a dozen stitches wasn't practical. Anyway I rang our surgery yesterday, they had no information either, but immediately swung into action and we had a call from the District Nurse who will be with us some time today. I also mentioned our flu jabs, they're doing a by appointment only system this year and because we have to isolate for the next 14 days I wanted to see if I could arrange a suitable date. Enzo the receptionist said he would pass it on to the team so we were more than a bit surprised when the door bell went an hour or so later and it was the practice nurse come to jab us both. Now that is good service.

Nothing much else happening today, we'll be having another quiet day. E's looking a bit better already, still very pale and moving is a struggle, but he's definitely more relaxed, being home is doing him good.

Hope you all have a good day xx

Quite a contrast in service there Jen. Hospital discharge can be a pain but that is absolutely scandalous.
It's good that E is more relaxed at home.
Hope all goes well for Grumpy Jan.
A poor day here, it is raining steadily.
We have been to get some eggs from an ex neighbour who has his own hens and we've got a few bits from Sainsbos. Shock - the cafe is open!
There has been a big accident on the main road near us (A638). Big pile up, police, fire and ambulance in attendance. I hope everyone is OK but probable not.
Have a good day everyone.

Jen, they just don't communicate, do they? Glad the practice nurse is more organised and I hope everything is sorted soon xxx

Hi Saundra :) xxx

Crommers, our Sainsbury's cafe opened last week, D and I had tea and a teacake in ours last Thursday after shopping 8-) I hope that crash wasn't too awful :( xxx

I've been to town, then lunch with D. I popped into the surgery on my way back and got her flu jab sorted - I updated on the Random thread. I might do Zumba tonight, I really DO need to get back into it

Love to all :) xx
