The "C" word ....

Postby TheOstrich » 15 Oct 2020, 12:27

Today, Mrs O received through the post a Christmas Gift and Festive Guide catalogue from Boots, and I received an email from Waitrose telling me I can place my Christmas Turkey order online now, not forgetting all the trimmings. Alternatives were a Highland Beef joint and something weird called a Vegan Festive Wreath :? .

15th October!  :cute:

We have had two, one from Lakeland and one from Studio. Both now in the paper bin as we do not need any decorations and too early to buy food.
We like selecting our own food when we go to the supermarket.

it is getting earlier and earlier isn't it :?

They should ban the sale of anything to do with the C* word until the clocks have gone back at a minimum. I can't believe that some shops are already stocking advent calendars - surely they'll go off between now and then?

Yikes! Although I did pick up a Sainsbury's "C"word food order leaflet today - I'm going to use my year's worth of Nectar points for my turkey and fresh veg order, same as last year.

I’ve had a Lakeland one through the post, I’ll probably do an order with them, and there was an M&S food email the other week offering delivery/collection slots.

Kaz, I’ve saved my Tesco points for the Christmas shop. It helps too that John always fills the car up at the one on the way to work

I have cancelled it. I checked my More points from Morrisons and I am worth £3.37, not even enough for a bottle of white cider.
