Sunny and forecast for 24 degrees.
I'm still waiting for it to be duvet weather. I've got IKEA itchiness to get their bed sets out my linen cupboard.

Off for a long walk and will have a swim mid morning.

The boys are coming over for lunch. I had toyed with the idea of cooking but Gambrinus by the park has been suggested and I'm more than happy to go along with that.

Sun and cloud at the moment and we are forecast rain for this afternoon. Then again, we were told that the other day and nothing happened

Houseworkery stuff for me this morning. Grumpy has his thinking head on, for the new project and also to maybe replace the table top that broke, with wood. The guy we bought it off has gone out of business and although he's told me where to get the glass from, it's a long way for us to go. We'll ask in Ourique too, we've bought glass from the carpentry shop before, but not sure that they'll be able to do what we want.

If it rains later, we'll have a roast for dinner. If it doesn't, it's a bbq

Pouring with rain right now, torrential rain with gale force winds overnight

We plan a 'proper' Sunday with roast chicken and veg for dinner and vanilla blancmange with lemon and lime jelly for pud. It's taken a while for E to get his appetite back, we're even going to open the bottle of bubbly we meant to have when he came home.

Afternoon all, we’ve got bright sunshine and a strong breeze.

I started the day with a run while John and Bill had a lie in and once they’d had had breakfast we went to Hednesford Hills for a walk. Since getting back John’s dismantled the garden table and chairs for the scrap man, we intended to get a new set this year but it didn’t happen, and I’ve got a load of washing on the line. We’ve just had dinner and next up is a drive out to a garden centre, probably near Lichfield as we have a choice of two there. John’s either going for a run or a bike ride when we get back.

Might watch a film tonight. Friday was Borat 2 and last night we watched Unhinged.

Afternoon all, it’s a lovely sunny Sunday here. We walked over to what will hopefully be Miss Osc’s new home in January and back again, just under 10k. We called into her house on the way home, she and Michael were out playing tennis but SIL and Kellie were there, and we had a nice chat about their plans. Home for lunch and plan to do very little for the rest of the day. Jen, glad to see that E’s appetite is back to normal and he can enjoy a nice Sunday lunch.

We've been down to Seaburn today. Usual walk on the beach and a scone in a cafe....the sun is out and it's blustery but lovely. We thought about heading west for a change and going to the Dales (Weardale or Teesdale) but after the torrential rain we had yesterday, we figured it would be too clarty....at least wet sand doesn't get TOO messy!! Watching the sea/waves was fab, great colours and patterns. Oh, yesterday we went to North Yorkshire, to Saltburn - it's gorgeous there but haven't been in YEARS!! So quaint and old fashioned, with trams going up and down the cliff face - not now ofc, with the CV19 but they're there, waiting till they can. And a long pier.....we walked to the end, made me wonder, what's the point of piers, does anyone know?

Swapped days off next week, so am off tomorrow rather than Friday (helping out, we are short staffed again after one of the new girls was 'let go' last Wednesday - I'm gutted for her, might start a separate thread about it as I'm so sick of work *yawn* LOL - you've heard it all before I know)

Went shopping again at Tesco. Got there as the doors opened at 9.30 a.m. Home having coffee at 10.30 a.m.
Have been doing some on line shopping this afternoon. Now just pootling.
It was raining in the night but we now have blue skies.

Afternoon everyone

I've been busy, we popped out for coffee and the papers, called in to see D and put her bins out for the morning. I've cooked a roast chicken and veg, we've not long eaten it. Mick is finishing a painting, the view he took of the ferry when we were down in Devon. He's also got the vac bags down, with my warmer jumpers in, so I can sort them out, and put some more lightweight stuff away. Just about to do that, while we still have some daylight

Jen, that's good to hear, I hope you both Enjoy it

Gal, I think I read somewhere they were first built for pleasure trips, so the boats could moor up and deliver people straight onto them.
