Good morning Monday

Postby Ally » 02 Nov 2020, 06:28

Good morning.

Gorgeously warm and sunny. 8-)

Off for a walk then back to chill out for the day.

It's a holiday here as a bridging day is being taken as it was All Souls Day yesterday.

Sis whatsapped me last night pics of her and a very happy looking dad together. :D :D

Have a great day.

Morning Ally, morning everyone

Misty start and we're forecast showers for this week. Warm though, so I might still do some washing.

Took a load of lamb out of the freezer yesterday and will make a stew with it. Leftover curry and chips for tonight.

Depending on the weather is doing, I might get outside and start the weekly round of weeding. If not, I've got plenty of books to get through :D

Have a good day everyone, whatever you're doing xx

Good morning all, it’s sunny here with a bit of drizzle every now and again.

I’m just back from a run, I mistimed it though and had to dodge school kids on scooters and oblivious mothers staring at phone screens  Next up is a walk with Bill, John’s got holiday this week so he’s had a lie in but is up now so we can go. The spare room painting will be finished today.

Have a good day all and please stay safe, love to all xx

It was windy here last night too Saundra.
That's nice about your dad Ally.
Still windy here in fact but not a bad morning.
We don't have much planned; maybe it's time I got back into reading books.
Our local fb page had a good post the other day; someone had left a bowl of broccoli out for the trick or treaters with a note saying "just take one each"!
Have a good day all.

Morning all :D

Started off wet, but it's brightening now. High winds overnight, very noisy.

Just as well your sister changed her plans Ally, lovely she's with your dad.

The only excitement here today is a Tesco delivery this afternoon, apart from that I intend to have a nice quiet day.

Hope you all have a good day xx

Very mixed weather here, sun, cloud, strong winds and flurries of rain. Miss Osc and I were at a funeral this morning, the mother of one of her best friends. Only 25 allowed in the church, but people came along and stood while the hearse arrived. Then we sat in the car and watched the mass on the church webcam, and got out of the car again as the coffin came out of the church to be taken to the crematorium. Very hard for the family not to have the usual get togethers afterwards.

Home now and no plan for the rest of the day.

Bright but very blustery, to the extent that our water butt was ripped off its moorings overnight by a very strong gust. Thankfully no damage, I've rescued it and put it back in place.

To town early this morning to book a haircut before the barbers goes into lockdown. Got an appointment for tomorrow morning. I last had it cut back in July, I think, much longer and I really will be looking like the Wild Ostrich of Borneo.

Again, social distancing very difficult, some unmasked eejit lad (possibly High School Sixth form?) started walking right up close behind me - I crossed the road to get away from him and he carried on up the pavement oblivious, earphones in. It really winds me up, makes me angry, this disregard of the standard advice. No wonder the virus is out of control.

Evening everyone :)

Usual Monday here, into town to meet Em, bought a few Christmas presents, went to the wholesalers as Em needed hairdressing supplies for the clients she's squeezing in before lockdown. Have made a spaggie bol for dinner. It's been bright today, if a bit chilly.

Ally that's brilliant, your dad must be so glad to have M there :D

Osc, that must be so hard :(

Love to all xxx
