Bought the toilet rolls last week, Vic!
I think the next few days may see some panic buying but I'd like to think the supermarkets will have got their supply / distribution chains sorted out now. I expect it will settle down pretty quickly after lockdown starts, and I also think we won't see as much queuing to get into the shops as we experienced last March/April because the facemask wearing rule means more bodies are allowed in the shops at once than back during the first lockdown; also folk are more savvy what time of day to actually go shopping.
And a lot of households will still be carrying pretty high stocks of tins and dry goods anyway. I just need one more shop on Monday, around £40 I reckon (Mrs O has demanded chocolate
), and we'll be good to go for pretty much the whole month.
