Morning all :D

The weather can't make up it's mind, bright sunshine with showers :?

Yesterday didn't quite go to plan, the weather cleared so I got out in the garden to do the last bit of pruning. Managed to fill our garden rubbish bin again, it's been emptied this morning. That really is it, anything else can wait until Spring. Of course it's set my ankle off again so today really will be a lazy day.

Hope you all have a good day xx

Good afternoon, it’s sunny and breezy here.

John’s just finished painting the spare room. I’ve walked Bill, had a clean around and got two loads of washing out to dry.

I need to go to Stafford this afternoon. I ordered a birthday present for a friend from M&S last week and selected today as the collection date. Wish I’d selected an earlier one now, don’t really fancy the shops.

Joe’s working from home today. Tomorrow he should be in college but the college took the decision to close for two weeks rather than just one for half term but his lessons are going to be online so work have said to stay home for those.

Have a good day all :)

Good afternoon. Cold in the wind, but bright with the odd scattered shower. Lovely rainbow mid-morning.

Walked to town this morning, (coinciding unfortunately with one of the scattered showers that blew across whilst I was en-route  ) for a pre-lockdown haircut, and a final stab at Iceland where I bought the "Luxury" Christmas Cake and a few further festive treats that probably won't survive much longer than mid-November :P  .

Also visited one of the charity shops, which will close during the lockdown, to stock up, like Cruiser, on Christmas cards. We prefer ones with a "traditional" theme rather than a load of Jolly Santas or Cute Kittens in a Red Hat, so the charity shops are a far better bet than the local commercial Card Shop. Everywhere pretty quiet, although queues for the Post Office.

So we're all done for the lockdown and can dig in now.

Have as good day all! :D

Afternoon all, it’s bright and breezy here and the wind is very cold. We had a nice walk along the pier earlier, I’ve done some dusting and cleaned the bathroom. Kellie will be here for about an hour this afternoon, Miss Osc has a meeting and SIL has a meeting at the same time, as he is working at home he needs a quiet house!

Afternoon :)

I've just been for a haircut too! I was due to go last Friday but my sinuses were playing up and I couldn't face it, so remade the appointment for today - luckily, as they did offer me this Friday as well ;) Earlier I went to see D, as usual on a Tuesday.

Love to all xxx

Good evening all

Had a busy morning, click and collect shopping, then picked up a friend to take her to the hospital for some routine blood tests, then back to mine and bake some bread (and what a disaster that was), then dropped off the friend, back home and then an hour later out again to pick up some dining chairs I bought 2nd hand to replace the chunky pine ones I have now. And then about 6.30 off to a wildlife rescue to pick up a hedgehog that is ready for release so it can have enough time to build a nest and hibernate. And work in between all that - I'm pooped!

Bread turned out horrendous and not sure why - all soggy in the middle and not cooked; but superbly crusty on the outside. The oven was doing what it should have and we put it in for a bit longer but still no good; so trying to figure out where we went wrong; and the only thing I can think of is that my friend didn't put enough oomph into the kneading and stretching? I definitely am a lot more energetic than she is. Oh well, I promised her I'd make more for her and drop it off at some point.

Hope you all had as lovely a day as possible and have a good evening x
