Good Morning Monday

Postby JanB » 09 Nov 2020, 07:27

Morning everyone

Misty start, although the sun is out. Might get a shower or three this afternoon.

Will get the washing machine on as soon as Grumpy gets up and hope the sheets dry by the time the rain gets here. Other than that, not doing a lot. Hope to hear from the doc though.

Gez got a little too scissor happy yesterday and I have a short bob   not even sure it's long enough to tie up now :o It'll grow, eventually ;)

Have a good day everyone, whatever you're doing xx

Morning Jan.
A grey day here but not cold.
In a while we are off to B and M for a few bits.
MrsC has made a Christmas cake so we need some more brandy to feed it with. Better get a bottle, we don't want to not have enough. ;)
The leaves are nearly all down off the trees now, winter is just about here now I think.
Have a good day all.

Morning all, it’s not too bad here although it’s damp and rain is forecast for later. Today I’ll do some h/worky stuff and I have been thinking about having a look at the family tree as it’s been a long time since I did anything with it. There’s also knitting and reading to be done if I want.

Morning you three, morning all

Jan, I think a short bob would suit you. Know what you mean about the tying up bit though. I have my hair cut 2, maybe 3 times a year and it's always an adjustment going from the long to the short (because I usually have about 2 or 3 inches taken off) but it grows fast enough that it's not long before I can tie it up again without looking like I have an aerial sticking out from my head
What do you do with the acorns - give them to people with pigs?
Crommers; good thinking about the bottle of brandy - you definitely don't want to be running out. Most of the trees here are well on their way to being totally bare; some larger oaks seems to be holding on but the birches and maples are looking a bit "thin".
Osc, the family tree thing is interesting but I'd assume there probably does come a time when it's really hard to get to the next step without a lot of deep digging into the records?

Usual work for me and tidying up. Karl managed to do the three things planned for yesterday so now it's a case of putting things back into cupboards and just making sure everything either has a space somewhere or is put up for sale or given away. The last bits that need doing are quite labour intensive and will need electrics and plastering work to be done and then final painting; so for now I'm happy as things are and I'll save up to get the last lot done early next year

Have a lovely day all, enjoy whatever it is you're doing and stay safe.

Yes, Jan and her hubby have just acquired some pigs. We're hoping for a little bit of pig, as a thank you. That's three large carrier bags for them.

Morning all :D

Dull and overcast today

Hope you hear from the doctor today Jan.
Christmas cake yummy Crommers, one of the things I miss not being able to eat. Probably just as well, E isn't at all bothered so I always ended up eating most of it

I've started looking online for Christmas pressies for all the grandchildren, thank goodness for home deliveries. Want to get them all done as early as possible as I'm sure lots more people will be doing the same this year. Other than that, not much happening, Tesco delivery this afternoon and that's about it.

Hope you all have a good day xx

Afternoon all, the sun’s just come out after a misty and damp start. It’s very mild though!

Me and John walked Bill first thing, then he went into the home office to start work, I went for a run, since then I’ve done two loads of washing and hoovered all three floors, walked Bill in the woods again and we’ve just had lunch. John’s now started work again.

It’s our anniversary today, 22 years, so seeing as we can’t go out we’re going to get some food from a local restaurant which has started a collection service, providing we can get a collection slot before they’re all filled - it’s proved very popular for them!

Ria, I’m going for a bob next time I get my hair cut. I’m sick of long hair just hanging there. Hopefully the salons will reopen as I already have an apppointment booked for Dec 5th. If not, John’s going to have to get the scissors on it  It won’t be like before when you could book for when they reopened, December is already booked out for Christmas appts.

Have a good day all :)

Afternoon all :)

Jan, Ria, I've gone shorter and shorter with my hair. As It's so fine it makes it easier to manage, but it does mean 6/8 weekly trims  xx

Crommers, I bet the whole house smells like Christmas now! :D xx

Happy Anniversary Jo! :D xxx

I'm doing most of my present shopping online this year too Jen :) xx

It's Mick's birthday today. Nowhere much to go though, it rained so we decided against a walk! Instead we ate breakfast in bed, and have binge-watched the whole original series of House Of Cards on Britbox 8-) I'd forgotten who good it was :D :D We're going round D's in a while, and having a takeaway, the four of us 8-)

Love to all xxx
