AWOL....

Postby Ally » 09 Nov 2020, 10:52

....over the weekend.

Rumours were rife in our town early Friday morning about new restrictions coming in including no leaving your municipality.

Cue the twins WhatsApp messaging telling us they were coming over to spend the weekend with us as these new restrictions will be in place for at least two weeks so no boys. :(

New curfew is all non essential shops, bars and restaurants closing at 6pm.

We were told our academy would close as it's a private establishment.

11am yesterday us teachers had a zoom call to clarify all new rules.

11pm last night, just as the boys went home, I saw a notice on FB from our mayor stating education is important ergo we can stay open!

The last class is 8 - 9 which gives enough time for students and teachers to be home in time for the 10pm curfew.

I'm not so bad as apart from my two hours in the morning I finish at 7pm.

Except for tonight as I'm still covering for A. Hopefully she'll be able to return tomorrow and get back to some normality.

We were going to go to Miramar today for a shopping spree but now we can't leave our town.

I'll keep my centimos till we can travel again. :D

Similar here too Ally. We're back in a State of Emergency and some districts are banned from going out at all, apart from essential workers.

We're not too bad here, we can at least go to Ourique, but not Castro Verde, as it's a different district.

Ours runs until 23 November, which is lucky, as we're planning a lunch on 25, the other side of Castro.

Things are how they are at the moment.... I'm very grateful to have had the boys here for the weekend though. :Hi:

Really pleased you saw the boys over the weekend Al x

That’s a positive about lockdown, we’ve had so much more time together as a family this year :D

BTW Al, Glyn Purnell was interviewed on the radio this morning :D

Lunch at Purnell’s is on the list for when we start to get back to the old normal, along with dinner at Kray Treadwell’s 670 Grams in Digbeth.
