Good afternoon all, it’s gone dull here after a bright morning.

I decided to get organised today and the day started well. DPD (for Joe) and Amazon had made deliveries by 9am, Hermes updated to say that they’d be delivering this afternoon with a parcel from M&S which wasn’t due until Monday so that was good. I wrapped some presents for my friend in Orkney, packaged them up and sorted an Amazon return too, did a quick count of approximately how many stamps I’d need for cards and made my way to the post office.
They had no stamps. Yep, at Christmas the Post Office had no stamps. Or rather they’d run out at the counter and the McColls manager who could access the safe was doing something in the back of the shop and the PO counter assistant didn’t know when she’d be restocking the post office.

Bill’s had his second long walk of the day, we’ll take him around the village tonight. It’s become quite a family affair though at night as all four of us go :D

That’s sad news Jan x

Have a good day all :D

Jo that's absolutely crackers! Stamps unavailable at a P.O. :?

Evening everyone :)

Shopping with D this morning, then I cleaned all the inside windows ready for us to put up the tree and the decs on Saturday. We're actually a bit later than normal this year, I'm struggling to find my inner elf at the moment! I'll probably feel a bit more Christmassy once they're up  :?

Have a good evening everyone :) xxx

I was at the local post office yesterday and they too had run out of stamps - all that was left was 2x first class books of 12 stamps which the guy ahead of me took. Just as well I didn't need any. You'd really think that that is one thing they'd have in stock.

Kaz, I put my tree up last Saturday evening and definitely was struggling to find my inner elf and wasn't really enjoying the decorating; so did just enough to make it look OK. Next morning I put on some Christmas music and sat on the sofa with a cuppa just looking at the tree and 10 mins later I found myself humming along to the music and finishing off the tree and loving every minute of it. I've still got some general other decorations to go up, but not sure where so need to figure that one out over the weekend.

I’m feeling more festive this year.

Nothing else to do I suppose!
