Good morning Tuesday

Postby Ally » 29 Dec 2020, 07:35

Good morning.

It has snowed overnight and is lying quite thick.

Which is hilarious as my cousin's wife Nicola is picking me up at 10am to go into Braehead in Glasgow to have my covid test at 11.15.

Luckily for me whilst at tesco yesterday I bought 4 gorgeous jumpers, all on sale, and a fab pair of black ankle boots....the boots will be worn today.

It quite tickled me yesterday at the checkout to put on the conveyor belt a chunky pair of boots alongside a lemon meringue pie.

Have a great day.

Morning Ally, Cruiser and everyone

Sun is out :D but we had a lot of rain over night and more is forecast for today

Some of my spring bulbs have put in an appearance, which is a little early, but makes up for the plants which the frost killed off

Not a lot on today, will take the boxes of decorations down the battery stare and that will be my exercise for the day

Have a good day everyone, whatever you're doing xx

Good morning all, our snow has hung around and it looks more icy now so I think I’ll stay in.

We had a lovely walk through the woods and over the common just as it went dark yesterday though.

Jan, my daffodils are through, some by about 3”.

Have a good day all :)

Blimey. Our daffs usually start to break through the soil around mid-Feb so they’re a bit early.

It’s started snowing again :(

Morning all, I just realised that I never posted yesterday! It’s a nice bright day and cold, but an improvement on yesterday which was fairly miserable - no snow though. I’m gradually emerging from the post-Christmas slothfulness. All the Christmas food is finished, the last of the turkey and ham has gone into a pasta sauce for tonight’s dinner, and we’ve eaten all the sweet stuff  Today I’ll change the bed, and do a few “secretarial” things, make a phone call and post off a cheque. I’ll get out for a walk later this morning. Edward has just left to go and play golf. I’ve started a baby blanket for a friend’s first grandchild so will do some of that this afternoon.

Good morning. We have had snow too, the first of the winter for us. It froze last night and then snowed on top so there have been a few minor accidents on the roads this morning.
We were going for a Sainsbury's shop this morning but we'll wait until the roads have been properly gritted first.
Son has taken their giddy kipper of a labrador for a walk this morning in the snow and he (dog) loved it!
It is nice for the children too; a lot of the little one's will never have seen snow before.
Good luck with the covid test Ally - the boots and the pie made me smile!
Have a good day all.

Back home and all went well. The girl doing it, Emma, was fantastic.

I'm going to put my trainers on and go for a long walk.

The snow is.... and feel free to sing along... deep and crisp and even.

The sky is a beautiful blue and it all looks picture postcard perfect.

Morning all :)

Dry but dull and overcast here. No sign of snow.......yet......hoping it gives us a miss this year.

Well done on your shopping spree Ally, always nice to get a bargain. Good luck with the Covid test.

We were very rudely woken up by the door bell at 8.30 this morning. It was another tube of the Flexiseq you recommended Crommers. It does seem to be helping and I'm much happier using it rather than voltarol. Oh and I jumped back in bed, only just having brekkie

Absolutely nothing planned for the rest of the day, intend to be extremely lazy

Hope you all have a good day, stay safe xx
