Crommers, almost as bad as when a consultant almost delayed Joe’s operation, which had already been pencilled in by the surgeon but was waiting on the final say so from this consultant, by deciding he needed another scan, which had already been done a month earlier, and when we disagreed she relented and said she’d write to the surgeon and tell him to go ahead.

We asked how long the letter writing/sending process would take and she said it’d be a couple of weeks.
A delay would’ve meant he’d have had to wait a further few months.
We sort of looked at each other and John pointed at the floor and said “to get a letter to a surgeon whose office is below here?”
“Yes”

A few phone calls from me to the right people the next day got that ‘letter’ there by the end of the day

They're breaking the law, the problem is it's almost impossible to enforce in private homes :o :( It's a proper kick in the teeth for those of us abiding by the rules :o

No fireworks here.

But I have heard today that the two best bars / restaurants in Whitby are closing their doors for good. The Moon and Sixpence abd the Marine have gone down the plughole.
Plus a woman in our village who worked three jobs to pay the bills and put food on the table for her children has lost all her jobs and her partner has left her.

Happy bloody new year, SAGE.
