Cooking for the freezer

Postby JanB » 06 Jan 2021, 19:12

I've decided to cook a load of meals and then freeze them, for when I go into hospital.

Even stuff like mashed potato, but not rice, couscous or pasta, as I'm sure I can manage to do that. But might not want to 8-)

Not knowing how I'll be feeling and what I'll be capable of, then cooking now makes sense. Stuff like shepherds pie, favas, chillis and curries.

I'll make sure I keep them in a couple of drawers and also that I label them

Some will be for Grumpy, as he's a rubbish cook

I also have a feeling that food will be delivered ;)

Aha! My one big failing when I do my cookathons.

Well it was till I bought a permanent marker pen. It's permanent only on porous surfaces and easily washes off the lids.

Does Grumps know how to operate the 'ping' machine?

I have seen him, Grumps has power tools such as pillar drills, routers, circ saws, cement mixers, augers and he can't turn on an oven or ping cuisine machine.

He needs serious help.... ;)
