Can I ask how you’re getting it though (just being nosey). We were told it was only front line social care and nhs staff as well as the over 80’s and that they were being really strict with it.

Or is your opticians NHS?

Yes we are NHS and I guess like yourselves we are in regular close contact with people. We do triage all appointments the day before but during frame selection we are close to our clients.

It can be quite intimate work, can't it? xx

Sure can, there’s a lot of unavoidable close contact x

I was talking about this to my Practice Manager today, apparently its all down to how the CCG's Clinical Commissioning Groups, allocate their vaccines, so well done to yours Gal for being more far sighted

That’s good to know MM, they are both always on the ball (the business is owned by two brothers). One posted a great piece on our staff Facebook page to reassure us how working (for us) during lockdown was as safe as it can be, he’d obviously done a lot of statistical research to back this up.

I’d be extremely interested in hearing how the cfs/me patients do with the jab. Which one are you using over there? I got the mmr jab 18 months ago and that wiped me out for 2 months so a bit worried. My immune system is pretty sluggish.

Weka, we now have the BT/Pf, O/AZ and Moderna vaccines approved.

The UK advice re CFS./ME is that there are no significant concerns from any of the approved vaccines. It is thought that they might actually help in some cases.

I am pretty sure if you are going to a sports hall it will be the Pfizer Cruiser the AZ does not appear to be in circulation much yet. I had the Pfizer too

How strange - I was of the opinion you had to show this at your second jab to show which batch no was used. My next one is due March 5th. It was all over in seconds, all I’ve had was a tender arm for a day but fine now 8-)
